Did anyone grab that Naughty Ron from Saturday? I was there Friday & no mention of it; is it already gone?

They had it yesterday when I was there around 445. We're still selling and around 6pm it became in house only . Guess it's out now but they'll be releasing new bottles soon so not to worry !

Am I the only one that hears SARA and rolls my eyes? I guess they know what they're doing, just sounds stupid when they actually already have what sounds to be a cool thought out name.

    Like, dude, SARA, bro.

Sebo, its awesome. You'd dig it. Little bit of Alpine and Societe mixed together and add some farmhouse flare. Super nice guys in the tap room too. Northern Beard is soops crooshable.

And not that it greatly matters to us down in Socal, but I like that they'll slap some tape on your growler and fill up whatever glass you bring. If you happen to be in town bring an extra growler. 831 IPA is nice.

I'm confused if this is commentary on the over use of acronyms on these forums (which is annoying) or something else?

Just a stupid annoyance of mine. No hard reasoning. Just sounds dumb to me. Linguistically unappealing while their full name is very much so. And kind of like when someone names their pet a person's name maybe. Also, throw the the acronym thing in there too. Anyway, not a big deal. Lots of bad brewery names in the market. Doesn't affect my buying habits. I can't wait to check the place out.

I have the same pet peeve. I say "Sante Adarius" when I say it out loud because saying "Sara" just sounds dumb to me :stuck_out_tongue: They have a very cute little brewery and my experience with the West Ashley release was great. Doesn't hurt that they're in a nice little beach town with great weather!

After hearing people butcher the name repeatedly and refer to their house saison Anais as "anus" I'm happy with whatever people want to call it.

How about just Rustic? I like that better if brevity is preferred

I keep saying it "ah-nay-is," but apparently that's wrong too. It's a shame it's one of my favorites, cause I order it a lot and butcher it every time I say it

It's like South Bay's version of Pleh-knee/Pl-EYEknee. All I know is I want that Little Quibble in growlers, so so good. Got growler of 831 in fridge for tonight

Pliny rhymes with Piney. It's not the same as the name of the man. When in doubt, visit the brewery and see what they call it.

And all this SARA shit is weird. I've always called it Sante. Cheers.

Hehe. No doubts here, I know how they choose to continue to mispronounce his name as their own "weird shit". If the brewers in Santa Rosa are allowed that quirkiness then SARA should be just as acceptable & quirky since the brewers in Capitola say it.

Agreed that saying "SARA" in conversation is a little goofy but this is BA & BA likes acronyms... we can each call it whatever we want but general consensus of what ppl use here is what matters for a thread I think

"Rustic Ales" is good imo, just like their web url

When I was at RR people were ordering Frambwahzz, Frambooze & Frambwah, we all got served

Agreed. Sante is the easiest. You can even just say the same thing when you toast to drinking delicious beer from great people.

I prefer Sante as well, but there's no denying that they have a branding problem. Between Sante, SARA and Rustic (which is what the caps say, for some unknown reason), it'd be easy to imagine someone thinking that they're three separate breweries.
