    Good evening!

    The Liberator is back! Over 1000 cases have been bottled and will be distributed in six-packs throughout the boundaries of the only state with TWO peninsulas -- MICHIGAN.

    The Liberator is a BIG double IPA with lemon and orange zest, originally brewed in secrecy for Joe Short's 30th birthday. It's a true masterpiece from our head of production, Tony.

    The Liberator: To pay homage to the original hop headed hero of Short’s Brewing Company, this beer was made as a 30th birthday gift for Joe Short. A double IPA, this beast employs a sizable malt bill, but it’s the ridiculous amounts of hops added to the boil every 4 minutes, for 120 minutes, that showcases this beer. A fruity, floral, piney intensity of hops penetrates through the caramelized malt profile. This well balanced, full bodied brew finishes bitter with a punch of fresh citrus from the addition of lemon and orange zest post fermentation.
    ABV 7.5%
    IBU 95.5

    Downriver still doesn't have Cup-A-Joe, though, dammit.

    for those of you who may be headed up north this weekend, Liberator and Juicy Tree, in bottles, were both released at the pub yesterday and should be on tap possibly this weekend.

    Glad I'll be there for the Ugly Sweater party on Monday. Looks like I'll be spending way too much money again there.

    This is our Christmas party beer. It's delicious. We tapped it Friday. I prefer draft but have no complaints about bottles. Superb

    Unfortunately I just found out that there was a problem in our area with the distro of The Liberator. We won't be seeing any this year. The Liberator is always one of my fav Short's releases each year and typically sticks around for a couple of months, so I usually go through quite a bit of it. I'm a little disappointed but I guess I've drank my fair share of it throughout the years. I'll just have to wait for Juicy Tree which I'm hyped to try out of the bottle!

    That's unfortunately and somewhat unbelievable that your entire area isn't carrying it.....I'm sure a drive of (at the very most) 20-30 minutes out of town will bring you to a place that has it for sale.
