You didn't miss much on what they served on tap back when on this one, imo.

I wish they would have denoted it differently on the label or with different foil or something.

Is all of the 2012 released this weekend the "special reserve"? If not, seems like there's basically no way to know.

I didn't see anything on the order form about special reserve? Just 2012 and 2013 vintages I thought? I'll have to look again at my form when I get home, but as far as I could tell the bottles of 2012 I got on Sat are the same exact packaging as the bottles I got last January. I'll look at all 3 side by side tonight.

I loved it too and I don't like bananas, and really liked the non-BA Barleywine they had. And I hate hate hate barleywines. Kuhnhenn is magical.

We got pours of those two, BB4D '13, Michigan Mud, Creme Brûlée Java Stout, Forbidden and Oud Bruin. I want to go back later this week when it's not as crazy.

Had a blast Saturday. Met some great people from all over, had some awesome beers, and left with all the beers I ordered. Whatever that free sample they gave out around 7pm was delicious. That was towards the end of my day there, so I never did figure out what it was. Thanks again Kuhnhenn's and Merry Christmas to all the cool people there Saturday.

I really enjoyed Big Black Banana too. It tasted fairly similar to Mich Mud to me as well. The bottles of Mich Mud from the Eisbock release were quite a bit better compared to draft IMO; more vanilla. Still good though!

Supposedly all 2012 sold this weekend was barrel aged an additional year beyond last years release.

Yet I was told that was complete BS...I wish someone from there would actually say what the hell it is/was

The cellar master confirmed it for me and someone else. I can ask others too, but assumed that would be the right person to ask...
