    The Herkimer still has their Toripuru Triple Bock on. At 23% ABV it is quite a sipper, and has some really nice complexity.

    Do that sound daunting to anybody else? the Herk, know for mediocre lighter brews brewing up a 23% monster...

    my thoughts exactly, only been there once and wasn't super impressed. the pretzels I got were good though.

    I had it at Winterfest -- it was alright, but nothing I'd have again. Complex? Sure, it was a large combination of dark fruit, caramel, yadda yadda, but it was incredibly sweet (has to be, right?)... but I don't care for very many beers above the 12% abv range... 23% is almost double that. If you like 'em big and rich, well, get over there and give it a try!

    I had an Old Rasputin on nitro at the Muddy Pig yesterday. Haven't had that on tap in a long time, and especially not on nitro. It was absolutely fabulous.
