I'll try and get some pictures up. Got about a case of bourbon county variants, snifter glasses, half yard ale glass with wooden stand, growler of Two Brothers North Wind Stout, gift card to Binny's and a Gift card to Ritebrew.com. Pretty much all of my gifts were beer related.

In addition to the glasses and Narragansett clock I mentioned before, I also got a Nook, on which I subscribed to BA magazine, so I suppose that counts.

A little light reading from my wife for Christmas afternoon. I ignored the suggestions in the book on the left and just had my last Allagash Merveilleux instead.

..And while I didn't receive any beer this year for Christmas, I did buy myself some fancy new toys  This in addition to yeast starters, and I should be producing some great stuff shortly

That Vermont road map is for a trip to Hill Farmstead on Friday. The rest all came under the tree today. Excited about it all! I already drank the barley wine, (and I bought a four pack of the coffee a few days ago, unaware I'd be getting some in my Christmas haul). I personally preferred the BCBBW to Sucaba, which had a year of age on it at this point. I had my dad set up a blind tasting between the two. Flavor was a bit more in depth on the BCBBW, and Sucaba had a more pronounced booziness to it. So yes, BCBBW won out.

My amazing wife surprised me with a new beer cooler, others added some BCBBW and a bottle of MassWhole. Also received a note from the parents letting me know that they signed me up for the Night Shift Barrel Society. All in all, a very hoppy Christmas!

Now, to put beer stickers on the Yeti or not?

Wife got me a Growler carrier and a stand that allows me to screw all my tap handles for display. Pretty cool.

I swear to God I've already pre-traded most of my eventual haul, haha. I figured you'd be after a growler of Double Galaxy.

That Fraoch Vintage is the real freaking deal man. There is seldom a day I don't wish I was pouring me some of that!

Welcome to the world of homebrewing  It took me 61 gallons to realize, one of the most important things (water profile, fermentation temp control, etc...aside) to not overlook in future brews is under-pitching the yeasties. Surely you'll be addicted after this kit, so invest in some software like BeerSmith, or use the free sites out there, and always do a yeast starter. All of my good beers were my session ales, and all of my bad ones were over 5%.

Also, love this book! I've had a PDF for a while, but just bought the book on Amazon because of this post... had been intending on buying it for a while, books are much better. Cheers to brewing!

Yes but only because you chose to not get a white one.
