"Must try" Scotch ales?

I'd say any ale made in Scotland would qualify as a Scottish Ale, it can't be otherwise . Different styles , but beer brewed in Belgium are still Belgian whether they're strongs or sours .

Does it? I am working on a beer blog at the moment where the goal is to list every decent beer at various beer stores in town with price, rating, style, and ABV. I found that one sitting in the corner in the international section of the largest beer store in town (proof) and of course added it to my list.

is it worth buying just to do a spotlight review on my blog?

Agreed! I'll only pay the $10/bottle price once but it was terrific! Second Place has to go to Backwoods Bastard

 

I don't know... at least not out in Philly. Both times I've had it, it was on tap.

 

Agree with the Wulver mentions. Finally tried this for the first time a week or so ago and even with all of the respect / props I've seen this beer get on BA, I was still blown away. So so so good. I just wish it wasn't so pricey.
