Why are "little" beers so much easier?

    That's exactly backwards of what I've usually read. All liquor drinks should be stirred, as shaking is not necessary to fully mix the ingredients. Once you add juice, you need to be more vigorous to mix things properly.

    If you dont want to invest in stir plates and flasks you could pitch 2 packs or use dry yeast (especially if your using wlp001/w1056 US05 is just as good).

    Starters are the best way to go, build/buy a sir plate and keep a couple lbs put DME on hand and your big beers will be better. I also suggest starters for your small beers as well.
