I was just there. They still have the 5 drafts advertised (BCBS, Bourbon County Brand Barleywine, Lolita, Matilda, and 10 Hills Pale ale). Apparently, the bottles listed (Juliet, Gillian, Halia, Madame Rose - 2012, Bourbon County Cherry Rye, and Bourbon County Coffee - 2012) were all very limited quantity and brought by the brewery representative last night for samples. The guy I talked to today said that they literally had one bottle of Coffee Stout last night that was poured for very small samples for the people who were there at the time. That being said, the Barleywine currently on tap is, supposedly, the only keg in the state. Tonight I had both the Barleywine and the BCBS and both were fantastic. And, at $8 for 10oz, is a very reasonable price.

Damn, I missed out on the coffee again, still havent tried it. I wish i had known about the event last night would have tried to stop by. $8 for a 10oz is really reasonable actually, especially considering their usual prices. Thanks for the info

Anyone receive an update as to when we might be seeing the variants in bottles?

A store owner told me not until after the new year, and that we'd only be getting the Coffee and Backyard Rye, no Barleywine. Take that fwiw.

Not CT, but I did find some Backyard Rye in Westfield, MA...not too far if you're in the northern part of the state I guess.

Still amazes me that Rhode Island got all the variants - and a decent amount - while Connecticut got snubbed.

Ct laws are the problem. We didnt get snubbed. Its sitting in warehouses until the CT law bullshit gets sorted out (and keep in mind this is someone who buys almost no goose island).

Good to know. thanks for the update. I heard from someone else that there is some in warehouses, but that could be complete bullshit. Stupid CT laws...

You know what?I'm glad I don't give a damn about these variants.Getting silly.People have to wait here in CT. while many others elsewhere have been enjoying for a while now.Goose Isl./our distro. knew these beers were coming out many months ago.Everything,(paperwork or whatever) should of been taken care of.

I also was told it is already in the whse.....(S.CT) but who knows.

Are we getting it OR not......?

    Cheers All...

I was told this morning that we got 6 logs of barley in.... That is it... For our whole selling area. No word on any cases. Cheers .. The laws in this state does suck.. Package stores can sell cigs but no cigars. They can not sell lighters but they can give ( not sell they have to give you ) enough matches to burn down the whole state. I could go on and on but I do not know who reads this. I will just say this I had a liq control agent video tape me building a display one time to make sure I was following all the state laws. They would love to fine my employer ( they do not give a crap that I am just trying to work my ass off for the company I LOVE to work for and feed my family)

I cared at first but staying "on alert" for this long is way too much work for me. Not worth the effort. I had my cherry BCBS from last year over the holidays and wasn't as blown away with it as I thought I would be, which might have helped. Glad I was able to get some of the original BCBS for sure, though.

I'm sure you don't want to mention what distributor you work for, but any chance you mind sharing what part of the state you cover? If not, I get it.

I'm with you guys on getting tired of waiting. I'm gonna go to McLadden's tonight and try the BW. I really wanted the coffee. I'm just glad I got a chance to drink as much 2012 BCBCS that I wanted, at a brewfest earlier this year.

Saw Lolita and Juliet at North East Wine and Spirits just yesterday but not the others. I think the store was in Plainfield? From out of state so don't know the area. Just curious, was NEWS the best bottle shop choice near Norwich does anyone know?
