Say what? That's the most anal response I've seen in a long time.

I agree, this is drinking awesome now. I had a side by side with that last release and like fresh more. If you like the fruity esters in a barleywine then you will love it with a couple years on it. Fresh really impressed me and a great price.

Bourbon county barleywine! This stuff is great, and I cant really imagine it getting much better with age, the flavors are pretty well meshed and it drinks very smoothly.

I was lucky enough to try a Double Dry Hopped Hog Heaven (dif than the regular) and it was amazing.
Also Old Ruffian, and Bigfoot if we are talking extra hoppy one I like better fresh.
Favorite BW ever was Central Waters BBBW. Amazing beer.

I had one that was (4) years old and it was pretty darn good. It's all personal preference and all good.

I gotta say that it gotta be Bourbon Barrel Barleywine by Central Waters. That beer is sooo smooth when its fresh. The barrel notes are huge. Such a tasty barleywine. It ages well also. Its the best shelf beer that Central Waters brews.
