This is the label for their 22oz packaging - Fat Tire had a similar style and layout (with a blue label?). Might be special packaging for the Ohio market? No idea.

Whiskey Barrel Aged Gulden Draak

few belgians use spirit barrels as we so like in the us
easy to imagine many superb belgian brews enhanced / augmented with the complexities of a fine barrel but they fail largely en masse to do this
I feel gulden draak is a C but the barrel propels it to an high A-
unfortunately the whiskey is conspicuously absent but the barrel has softened the original brew which was harsh and lacking depth
absolutely delicious froth, a dessert topper
honey and a phenol only the belgians deliver well, a touch of camphor goodness
the whiskey barrel, nearly imperceptible but there, embarrassment it was advertised
needs room temp to be appreciated
unfairly perhaps, I think it would benefit from a full name change

I have shared belgian brews with belgians in belgium
this pile of lights will dominate until the Holidays' end
four strands blink independently
off till the 6th, stocked cabinet, the lights are irresistible - they will continue to appear

My favorite Czech pilsner, strongly herbal-hoppy with a good bitterness and a malty backbone.

 

Keep coming back to this Quad. It is not balanced but the flavour is bold enough to shine through after palate fatique sets in.

This beer is new to the area/state. Lots of coffee on this one. I didn't really pick up much barrel character though.

 

My first ever Moo-Hoo(2012)! I like it but still think I like ST 2X stout better. Will let it warm up a little...

 

This Was Incredibily delicious like a liquid ginger bread cookie actually better than actual ginger bread imho haha so tasty

This was not as good as I had hoped got real sour toward the end but finished the bottle with some help from a friend i did like the flavors though, the nutmeg the cloves maple and molasses just wish it was more abundant maybe there was something wrong with the bottle as Ive seen it discussed in threads i dunno but it was ok but not great imho touch dissapointed

 

Had a Green Flash Hop Head Red earlier, now onto Resin. This is what the doctor ordered! World Wide Stout on deck!
