Anyone know if any Backyard Rye is gonna pop up again between now and Christmas in SoCal? I got nothing to do until then and a full tank of gas to burn - really want this beer. Got more than enough of every other variant...

I don't know how true this is but heard that in the South Bay, Royal Liquors and Santa Clara liquors are both due to get a case each of Backyard Rye this week. Not sure which exact day they'll get it.

Just an FYI that it seems that it has tickle down to the local Safeways in the SF East Bay Area as I bought two four-packs at the San Ramon Safeway for $19.99 a four-pack. Cheers and Happy Holidays!

Apparently, some of the Whole Foods stores had them. I don't go near any in my daily travels, so I don't know if they still do.

Figure I'd get this going again in a last ditch effort.............has anyone seen any BCBW in the Bay Area in the last week or so? Hoping some stray GI wave hit randomly.

Royal Liquors in SJ got Backyard Rye yesterday, but it's already all gone.

Santa Clara Liquors got backyard rye in on New Years day and it was gone in about 40 minutes according to the guy that worked there and I didn't make it in time :slight_frown:

I will mention that they had about 8 bottles of regular BCBS sitting on the shelves being sold as singles for I think it was $8.99 a bottle. So if your hard up to get your BCBS fix you can get one there, but I wouldn't pay that price.

Anyone know if more of the Backyard Rye is going to hit anywhere in SoCal? A Goose Island rep told me at a tasting that they were trying to get more to the state and get it approved to be sold at bigger stores like TW and WF and that he was hoping there would be some in January.

I got plenty of the others, maybe too much, but haven't gotten to taste the Backyard Rye.

Backyard Rye made a very brief appearance at the Los Altos Whole Foods, but they had less than a case. Gone in 20 mins. There seems to have been a shipment that hit the South Bay recently. I wonder if the Peninsula/SF is next...
