On that note, does anyone happen to know the bottle count on the Armands off hand? I could probably dig for it but it's not one I'm familiar with.

I think it was variable - 3-5K per season, with about 15-20K in total.

Agreed, but it's all speculation when we start talking about trade value past today. Armand could get inspired to regularly do the seasonals too...

Realistically though, with the way the craft industry is moving, I can't seriously see Three Floyds putting a halt to their barreling program.

I don't understand why everyone keeps throwing all the BA Dark Lords into a group. They're distinctly different beers in taste, bottle count, and demand.

this is a discussion of trade value. taste is not relevant to the topic.

this might be my favorite thing you've ever posted.

on topic - considering you can still go online and buy some of the armands, i cant see people making the trade, unless someone was willing to give up a whole set of them for one BA dark lord, which is a little crazy dollar-wise.

Might not be relevant to you :-/

My point was that not everyone who bought Armand'4s bought them only because they would become whales.

I bought some because they are incredibly tasty and the Lente is one of the best of the style I've ever had.

Armand'4s will easily land a 2016 BA DL. As for the 2012 BA DL, it's not gonna happen unless you throw a lot of them at one.

I think Armand himself threw them into a group when he named them after each season. Agree on all other accounts though except bottle count. I thought there was about 4K of each.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. Sometimes I post before I think.

    Levitation:

You seem to be either forgetting or ignoring my point: Those Gueuze(s) are very good and people had bought/have bought/are buying them for drinking as well.

    yes, i am ignoring it.

edit: elaborating a bit, i know people bought it to drink. it also seems to pop up ft mostly in " rare beer " trades, and i think that's silly because of what i posted in my first response to this thread.

i bought 4 of each. great beer. i have none left. :slight_frown:

So have we decided yet if the OP bought these to drink or trade?
