Mr. K and Hacienda received shipments this afternoon. I was at Noble today at 4:15pm to pick up 4 bottles and the guy said their bottles will probably not last through the weekend. Don't procrastinate ... jump on this!

Went to Hi-Times and was surprised you had to ask for them. Guy only brought out one bottle when I asked (I wasn't going to get more anyway, but he didn't ask). Figured the bottles would be sitting right on the inside left of the walk-in fridge. Also looked at Total Wine (Laguna Hills) and Whole Foods (Laguna Niguel) this morning while running errands and didn't see any.

Just curious about Hi-Times... when they are keeping something in the closed room, does that automatically mean it's a 1 bottle limit? B/c the guy I asked reacted like he had never even heard of Citra Showers but then he went to check and came out with 1 bottle. Just wondering about that.

Picked up a Bottle in Poway today, limit of 1 per person.

Bonus was an Alpine Nelson bottle.

MiScusi: Is that a regular shopping location for you? Some stores save them for the locals and others have a secret VIP list, find this a lot when looking for Pliny. I hate to always ask and sound like a junkie.

No I don't really have a regular liquor store. Don't buy a lot of bottles anymore. When I lived in this area 5-6 years ago I noticed Hi-Times did the same thing (ie when Devotion came out for the first time they kept bottles in the secret room and it was limit per 1). I realize lots of stores do this though (when I lived in LA, Lone Hill Liquors kept all the good RR sours in the back and made you really prove how much you knew abt craft beer before they opened up that option to you). In the end I don't really care because Total Wine takes care of most of my beer needs anyway, and I don't really chase the real rare bottles anymore.

BTW, Citra Showers was very good. They brought much more a herbal & grassy character out of it than I've noticed in other beers. Not completely what I was expecting. Nice and fresh, DRY, and only a nice light body.

Picked up a bottle of this today at the Best Damn Beer Shop in San Diego. I had never heard of this beer before but it was the only beer in the shop that had a two bottle limit so I decided to grab one. I searched the forums after having this beer and found this thread. Holy shit, this beer is incredible! Deceptively drinkable with an incredible balance of dank, earthy bitterness and juicy tropical/citrus fruit sweetness. One of the best DIPAs I've had in a long time. Once more people try it, I believe that it will climb up the list of top beers. Hopefully I can pick up another one tomorrow.

Crap, this thread is like torture.
Since I'm in NorCal, and my daughter lives in SD, do I dare ask a pregnant woman to try and find this for her junkie father? I'll be down there again at the end of March which will be pushing the shelf life for me...arghhhhhhhhh...

The Citra Showers will be looooonng gone in March. Noble should have their third special release by then. Nelson should be out in Feb. And I doubt it will reach SD. Very limited. All places are giving a one bottle limit.

I would have her pick it up today and store it until I got down there. Seems like asking a lot of someone who's getting ready to pop out a child.
Heck, I'll be in SD a lot this year, so I suppose I'll survive without this Citra Showers to which you all tease/speak!

After sleeping on it, I highly regret not getting any yesterday. Which means I must take the 10min drive and grab 4 bottles today!

Citra Showers reached San Diego and multiple stores have limits of greater than one bottle. I'm sure it's a good beer, but the fact that almost every new IPA/IIPA is hyped to the moon is getting pretty dumb. Limited beers are already hard enough to come by, you don't need to continue feeding the truck-chasing beer geek mindset by making it seem more scarce than it really is.

I some some last night and I also thought it was pretty amazing. I don't think it is quite as good as KR Citra, but when I consider the Citra lottery and a 7-hour round trip for six beers... I'll pick Citra Showers.

Picked up a bottle yesterday, and looking forward to trying the beer out with some football this weekend.

    Cheers.

Can someone let me know if they hear of any SC/SD stores that have it? Thanks.
