Very few hefeweizens appeal to me. Very very few. Pilsner's on the whole I don't care for but I've had some great ones too.

It's a difficult, maybe impossible question to answer really because there are always outstanding and terrible examples of every style. Unilaterally being against sours doesn't work even, because sometimes the sour doesn't stand out on its own but instead adds character to the other flavours, other times it's a sour bomb.

(I like sours though, they make up easily 50% of my cellar)

I have to say I like most beer styles, but the style I just don't understand is a Black IPA. I'm just not a fan.

    szmnnl99 and mellowmark like this.

No, yes, no and no. I couldn't find Rumpkin to try this past season and Cigar City and Weyerbacher are not distributed in California.

Anything "smoked". I love most Stone offerings, but their smoked porter with vanilla beans tasted like somebody set a box of band aids on fire, and then put it it out with vanilla extract. I don't see that style growing on me. I'm also not a big fan of fruit beers, and while I'll drink Whit biers, I much prefer Heffewiezens or American Wheat Ales.

Brown ales and scotch ales. Brown ales always seem to lack a lot if flavor to me and dcotch ales have too mich of a syrupy caramel to them. I will drink a good scotch ale every now and again but i will choose almost anything over it. However, scotch ale could just take a while to like; just like IPAs for me.

Gotta be Rauchbiers. The only style I can't bring myself to try again.

Ill drink anything that's good regardless of style and im somewhat new to craft beer, but I haven't had too many pilsners, lambics, and ambers that I've liked. I'm 50/50 on sours and saisons, I've had some I really liked and some that I've disliked.

Brown ales...for some reason they never give me a satisfied feeling, taste wise. The Newcastle werewolf was a little better but normal Newcastle is terrible and tastes like a flat Diet Pepsi.

Have you had NON-mass produced brown ales? I'm not a fan either, but Brooklyn Brown Ale and Cigar City Maduro are pretty nice.

ESBs. I've also seen barrel aged ESBs on shelves recently, and the mere thought of consuming them makes me shudder.

I love DGH IBA is amazing but in general brown ales are generally a little boring. Even ccb maduro isnt anything to write home about. I really dont like lambics though

Agreed! We don't get any good brands of Lambic, Faro and Gueze here. I'd love to try Cantillon varieties or even Upland stuff. Also, lambic don't even taste like beer. And all of them seem to be very expensive, while are all around 3-5%. Berliner Weisse (DFH Festina Peche), Biere de Garde and Biere de Champagne are pretty bad too.
