Expected Releases in January

I saw it at my usual spot today for 14.99, they are usually pretty good about pricing

Well it did take you nearly 24 hours to check. This is Houston, you know.

 

I found some at central market. It was worth the effort of looking for it. Enjoying one now after my morning Prairie Noir. There were no more at central market btw. I just expected plenty to be a stack of cases, maybe it was. But at 11am the next day, when Joey said there were no more, I cried on the inside. It all worked out and I'm a happy dude now.

 

Thanks for the heads up on this beer, easily overlooked. Picked a couple up in Central Market in Dallas, on Lovers. $15. A couple left on the big wire bomber shelf.

Also saw the 500bc. Looks fairly well reviewed. Anyone tried it?

 

Had it a couple years ago and wasn't really impressed. Will try again, if someone shares, but don't wanna shell out that much on a brew I wasn't in love with.

Shouldn't we see XVII first?

 

Thats what I was thinking. I picked up a 17 in colorado about a month ago, I would be hard pressed to believe that we would see §ucaba in the same month as 17. Our distribution lag is pretty much miserable.

 

Last year, when they launched, we saw both at the same time.

 

I'm noticing Firestone Walker's distribution for the limited vintage releases around here is horrible, I'm close to giving up on 17, and the Merkin release in Austin was a joke.

 

Just picked up fresh Dirtwolf and a bottle of xantus at central market down in south austin. Also saw some green flash double stout which I love too. They said FIS will be here this week sometime.

 

17 is supposed to be in soon (like maybe this week) in ATX.

Velvet Merkin was super easy though... I bought 2 bottles and it sat on the shelf at least 3-4 days (maybe longer) after that at Whole Foods Downtown.

 

I totally missed out on Merkin as well... I'm up North in Cedar Park, though. According to my beer guy at HEB... HEB didn't have the UPC for Merkin in their system. By the time they managed to get it in, it was all sold out.

I'm just hoping they can get FW 17 in...

 

I hear FW17 and FIS should be this week in Fort Worth as well.

 

Drank a Hop Farm last night, and was extremely impressed...VERY good beer, nicely balanced...wonder how long they will stick around...

 

When on my quest for Sucks, came across FIS at several locations inside the loop (610 for those not from h-town).

 

Will start my search for FIS then after work.
