Presale for bottles of Lift Bridge BA Silhouette is going on right now. Can purchase up to four bottles now, to be picked up at the release party on January 18th.

    https://www.eventbrite.com/e/silhouette-release-event-2014-tickets-9869572156?ref=elink

For those who haven't tried it, this is a seriously good BA Imperial Stout. Currently about 300 bottles remaining for presale.

I didn't go last year, but had a buddy pick a few up for me. The information on the site isn't clear about whether you have to buy a ticket to the event to buy bottles? Can anyone who has gone before (or anyone in the know from the brewery) comment on that?

Last year you could buy bottles and pick up on a date that wasn't the event day. I grabbed them the Saturday after the event. Concur that the stout is fantastic. In fact I'll be going to pick up some right now.

If anyone doesn't take full alottment I would gladly grab a CW 16 for them. I just can't make it that weekend.

I have not been to a Lift Bridge event...will this be in the brewery or do they roll with a heated tent or something like that?

Can you do that this year? It seems to explicitly say they need to be picked up that day but... that would suck and seem like bad business if you had something come up, bought 4 bottles, and couldn't get them later.

I guess after thinking about it I can't see how they would refuse you the bottles.

Went to the Irish Coffee Stout release last year and it was held in the brewery, didn't make it to the Silhouette event.
If you like BA stouts, it's da shit.

The fine print on the website isn't explicit as to when you can pick up outside of the event so I have an inquiry into them.
Yeah caught that too. I remember it was about as clear as mud last year too in the fine print. I have emailed to get clarity. Will let ya'll know what I hear.

Last year I picked up my bottles a couple of weeks after the release event. I think LB just said to try to come within a month of the release for pickup. I order my bottles and will pick them up later again this year to avoid the crowd. I assume you can do that again. This is an incredible BA stout!!

I shot them a email earlier today about the pick up times and was told that they will hold your beer for 2 weeks post event. So don't let that hold you back from getting some. Definitely worth a go.

Had this on tap at Town Hall Tap right after opening. One of the best beers I had last year. I had had Silhouette before and was surprized at how much better I thought the BA made it.

Possibly one of the best BA Stouts I have had in a long time. Make sure you pick some up.

Not sure if its the location of Lift Bridge or that not many people were able to try it last year but I am definitely surprised there are so many bottles left. I was able to grab some last year and it is an amazing BA stout. Far and away the best beer LB makes.

Do yourself a favor and pick some of this up. You will not regret it.

I just ordered mine! But seriously, I have not been to a Lift Bridge event...what can I expect? Inside/outside? Crowded? Live music? etc...

I don't see many details on this years yet but if it's anything like last years here's the description:

    http://mnbeer.com/2013/01/30/lift-bridge-silhouette-release-party/

The main tap room area can get a little crowded at certain times but there's always tons of room back in the brewery area and usually multiple pouring stations so getting beer isn't hard.

Srsly, MN?? There are still tickets available for bottles??? Hot damn, that's ridiculous. Easily one of my top 5 MN beers of 2013, if not the top!

I completely agree. My only guess is that with the small amount of BA bottles last year not many in the public got to taste the BA version or maybe just had the regular Silhouette and wasn't that impressed with it. The BA version is one of MN best beers IMHO.

    ..

I live in Andover and I made 3 trips out to LB just to get a glass of this beer while they had it on tap. I am also amazed bottles are still available
