got some yeast ready for an alt but I don't think it's going to happen. so much bottling/meadmaking to catch up on I'm overwhelmed right now. also need to slow production and speed increase consumption.

Just starting to boil my first IPA. Surprising that it's taken me almost a year to get around to it.

Just brewed my first Belgian sour on Wednesday. Pitched a lacto starter and gonna let it go for about a week or so and then check pH. My first cider that I've made is currently clearing in secondary.

Unfortunately no Conan. I am using the October BYO clone recipe's recommended WLP013 London ale.

Please do report back, maybe in a separate thread. I'd be interested to see the recipe and how it turns out.

First time using VikeMan's BrewCipher spreadsheet, love it. Brewing a very close take on Scott Bertus Brewery's Enjoy By Clone adapted to my setup and skipping the mash hop:

    5.25 Gallon Batch

    8lbs American 2-row
    7lbs Marris Otter
    .875lb Corn Sugar
    Mash at 147 for 75min
    1.2oz Apollo @ 90
1oz ea. Simcoe, Delta, Target, Amarillo @ 15
1.25oz ea. Citra, Cascade, Motueka @ Flameout
    Whirlpool for 20min
WLP090 - Super San Diego Yeast stepped up twice which was easy peasy with the BrewCipher built in calc.
    Dry Hop for 7 days
Dry Hop 1: 1.5oz ea Nelson Sauvin & Galaxy
Dry Hop 2: 1.5oz ea Nelson Sauvin & Galaxy

Transfering a Flanders Red to secondary and harvesting yeast for the first time. I was planning on brewing on Saturday but the supplies I ordered won't be here until Monday. The bad weather in the midwest must of held up orders this week. So I turned a negitive into a positive and took next Wednesday off to brew. Going to brew a golden sour ale and a ipa with amarillo, citra and falconers.

Wanting to brew, but no freezer space available yet. Cold weather has slowed down my brewing. Hoping to do some construction on the mancave tomorrow. Gotta install some electrical stuff soon!

    Rye-PA is up next tho.

Oh, and since I can't brew, I've decided to post my 999th and 1000th beer reviews live from Freetail Brewery, choosing cherry chipotle licthenhainer and chipotle porter for 999 and 1000. That's where I am now. Cherry chipotle lichtenhainer (999) and Chipotle porter (1000). Actually having a Yo soy un berliner for 1001, troof be told.

No brewing for me, but building my brewing shed and removing some coffee beans and cacao nibs from my douchey golden milk stout. Also buying some grain (~70 lbs) for 18 gallons of barleywine.

Pacifica hops are awesome, but good blended with some other NZ varieties. I use them a lot in XPAs and IPAs.

I'm going to knock out a quick PA using 2013 Amarillo hops. I'm hoping it will be ready to go for super bowl sunday.

50+ degree weekend! Brewing up a Imp. IPA on Sunday (Galaxy, Motueka, Citra, Chinook). Breaking in a lot of new equipment. Blichmann burner, whirlpool arm, chugger pump, and fermentation chamber. Gonna tap a Barleywine that has been carbing since last weekend as well.

Bottling Mosaic/GP SMaSH golden bitter, cleaning that carboy, dropping in a bourbon soaked oak spiral and then racking over an amber biere de garde onto it. Possibly brewing something to fill that bucket, we'll see what the schedule looks like for next week.

Yall are putting me to shame, as usual. This weekend, I won't be doing all that much: kegging a pale ale (my first mosaic-hopped beer, and I hope it tastes as good as it smells!) and doing a starter that I'll step up mid-week so I can brew my annual maibock next weekend.

I was gonna brew a Pale/Cream Ale but northerbrewer.com effed up. My first time ever ordering online instead of LHBS but I gave my car to my sister for a while so I have no way to get there without promising away beer.

Now it'll probably be next weekend. Why do I have to be such a good brother?
