From tasting room or has it hit distro?

It's hit distro, but seems to have gone east instead of south. Maybe they will send the ones canned today to our neck of the woods. Not in SRQ area yet. Same with Hopped on High Seas Citra.

I was at ABC Venice earlier and just the last batch of High Seas, no Citra. A few Humidor IPAs. So I grabbed some Invasion for a change... plenty of that. Can't wait to grab some cans of White Oak! Venice seems to get stuff late. SRQ much better.

Yeah I'm impulsive and hate waiting. Have a friend coming down from Tampa tomorrow for a bottle share and having him stop by the tasting room for some WOJA and Citra. I'm in North Port and can never seem to get to SRQ quick enough after Nadine posts stuff.

Asked the TW and ABC in the 954 area and they were clueless as to when they would have any. One place said June lol.

@rc51sport Had I checked earlier I was in Englewood this morning at my dad's. I have a 6er of Citra in my truck and at least a case left at my house.

I could convince the wife to go to Beery's or Beer Box tonight.

I appreciate the offer! I'm not really that worried about it at this point, it will be plentiful enough soon I figure. If you or the wife happen to be up in the Sarasota area anyways at some point later I could take you up on the offer, I'm getting ready to head that way now actually. No special trips needed though (not sure of where you're located)

ya know, it seems (at least from what I hear in these threads) that the FL TWs are pretty beer clueless.

Thank God we take care of ours.

Don't get me wrong the TW folks here in south FL are nice enough people. They know their stuff whenever I go in looking for a specific wine or a recommendation on a specific region or style. From a service standpoint they try their best with helping when it comes to beer questions but fall far short. The frustration for me is a lack of south FL TW personnel who can have a decent conversation on beer combined with piss poor distribution in south FL. Distribution in Tampa and Orlando is great but the rest of FL might as well be Siberia when it comes to seasonals/new releases/up and coming breweries . Perfect example, last year when Tocobaga came out it was a 1 bottle limit per customer in our area. Seriously. When Founders Backwoods Bastard came out and people were getting a case each at their local stores my store got 1 case. Or when Brown has an endcap advertising "Drink Local" and there isn't a single FL beer on the display. I could tell you a hundred stories.I've always had good experiences with the local ABC's but its hit and miss with releases. What makes it tolerable is that Brown always have had really great reps stocking the shelves. Some of the most intellectual beer folks I know. The current rep is great but seems frustrated when he has to let people know why things are a 1 bottle limit or why the store didn't get it at all. As a result I've shifted most of my beer purchases to the online folks like Luekens and others or getting my FL beer direct from the breweries when possible.

If you call the Lauderdale TW ask for Ed. He is pretty much the beer guy for all South Florida TWs and handles all their orders. He is a beer geek and knows his stuff. He can probably answer those questions.

    Thanks man much appreciated

Also if anyone is interested TW in Pines has White Oak Jai Alai but they are going fast and it's 1 4pk per person limit.

After drinking this for the past week, I've come to the conclusion that I prefer Humidor over this. Heck, I like Hopped on the High Seas Citra more than White Oak. Just my opinion....
