This post makes me wonder if maybe my taste buds are broken. I thought that Enjoy By was more piney than anything I had tasted other than gin or pine sap. I got no fruit at all.

Anyway, I wanted to second the nomination for Deschutes Fresh Squeezed. That one is pure citrusy goodness.

i was going to suggest Flower Power, but someone has already suggested it. I loved Jai alai the first time I had it. Stone IPA IMO has no malt but may not be floral enough. Green Flash green bullet is very good. Westbrook IPA is solid if you can get it it.

Don't get me wrong, Enjoy by has some real pine, but IMHO it's also very malt light and tropical fruit heavy, the galaxy/ nelson dry hop brings more citrus to the party than anything else but it is still pretty bitter.

Sucks is by far the best version of what you're describing...buy it now and drink it NOW...do not wait as the beauty of this beer can only be demonstrated while fresh...citrus grapefruit perfection...also rec Two Hearted and Union Jack...other DIPAs (if you can get your hands on them) Dub Jack and Perm Funeral...of course dont forget Hopslam...drink it FRESH!

Limbo for sure. Such an easy drinking fresh citrusy IPA.

I second this. Two hearted ale is one of my favorite (if not my favorite) go-to beer.

An oddball one that you may not be able to find is Citra Pale Ale from Odd Side Ales in MI. As you can gather from the name....heavy citrus.

Sounds like it would be right up my alley but definitely haven't seen an old side ales in NY

Maybe next time I have some in the fridge, I could send a bottle your way. Was in the west side of MI on a brewery tour (Bells, New Holland, Founders, Saugatuck, and Odd Side). Never had their beers and tried it. Very good. I like citrusy beer myself and it hit the spot.

If you like citrusy, dry, and bitter....last year's Weyerbacher Viridis Lupulus was all of those things. They're getting ready to release the 2nd installment soon, but the hop varieties change every year.

There are some great recommendations here, especially Sucks, Sculpin and Schlafley Tasmanian IPA and Two Hearted. I don't know about distribution but I'd also add Bear Republic Racer 5, Founders Centennial, Dark Horse Crooked Tree, Three Floyds Zombie Dust, Revolution Anti Hero, Two Brothers Sidekick and West Sixth IPA. All are really good and in my regular rotation.

OP, seems like we have similar tastes concerning IPA's. The four that immediately came to mind:

    Sucks
    Flower Power
    Lake Eerie Monster
    Hop Ranch

Thinking about it a little more - and from scanning all the great responses above, I think a lot have already been mentioned:

    Two Hearted
    DirtWolf
    Limbo
    Perpetual
    Sculpin
    Maximus
    Last Chance

And to be annoying, because it's only available on draft in Ardmore, PA - well… I should have said WAS available (unless they PLEASE brew it again) - MagoTago from Tired Hands.

I'm going to think of several more as soon as I post, but cheers!

Hop Ranch isn't a DIPA it's an IIPA, and it's very good, but double jack is a citrus bomb with a dry finish

Imperial India Pale Ale. It's used interchangeably with double IPA, so his post was misleading. Generally, those 9%+ get the "Imperial" moniker, or so it seems.

If it's used interchangeably then why does victory have Hop Ranch (IIPA) and Dirt Wolf(DIPA)?
