Let's pretend we ended the last season on a cliffhanger and so no introduction is needed

    Pannepot Reserva '09 - mmm

Boneyard Red Ale - very nice hoppy light beer which drinks like a 4% or so despite its actual 2.9%, should be sold in six packs at a slightly nicer price.

Riverside 777 IIPA. Dangerously smashable with ample bright tropical fruit.

Coopers Sparkling Ale 750ml, best after 13.12.13. A fresh coopers is better than a 6 month old IPA any day!

Hop Hog... precious precious Hop Hog. I will long for you when I can get none of you as of now :slight_frown:

I will be switching to my huge gueuze collection due to the shortage. This makes me happy and sad at the same time.

Got my hands on some of the STONE Ruination IPA from the last shipment the other day; hands down the best IPA I've tasted...and it was slightly 'old' too (enjoy by 25th November).

3 month old Knee Deep Simtra. I dunno if that is too old. It probably is but it certainly has a bit of zazz left to it. Since the weather is all hot lately I have mostly been drinkin Campari & sodas on the porch instead of 11.5% IIPAs and it took me a while to remember if I even like IIPAs anymore but I'm good now. Really I have been off beer altogether for a couple of months. Pretty ashamed of myself.

Also last night I ate hot bloody steaks at Deerys and drank a bunch of Stone & Wood Pacific Ale on tap. Been a while since I had one and I kinda forgot that it is not possible to just drink one of those. Boy was I refreshed.

Well, the freshest I've seen anywhere near AUS in recent times. Enjoy by 25th November means bottled 25th August. It kept exceptionally well and I'm glad I picked up the last 4 of them at my shop...just wish I'd gone the week before when they had more stock out =(

Did you hear the horses thunder too?

8 Wired Tall Poppy. I haven't had it in about 8 months. No reason why, just haven't. It's still amazing. I won't let that much time elapse again.

Second day over 40 degrees and I've been in the garden and pool all day, time to cue Cantillon Mamouche!

Saturday night finally opened the Natural Selection cider Lukie kindly sent me in a BIF about 2 years ago. Lightly tart and musty, lots of fruit. Somewhat reminiscent of a wild/sour ale with fruit. Fantastic.

Plus a few stale Konigs. Not fantastic.

Started off with a golden nail - which was good but a little underwhelming.. Then clown shoes tramp stamp which is full of aroma and flavour and a current favourite. Finished with a deschutes black butte porter - excellent!

I am interested, with a 750ml bottle of a beer to be savoured on a 40 degree day that I assume you wish to drink cool if not cold, (and presumably not down in the proverbial 5 minutes flat) how do you go about that?

Multiple small pours, or maybe a vacuum glass?

    cheers,
