Hopslam on the bottling line

Not to be a dick..... But Chicago gets it.

 

I wouldn'nt dream of thinking you are a dick, but I may have time tomorrow to shoot over there while I''l be somewhat close to the border. I know Chicago gets it but not until the end of the week or beginning of the next. OK?

 

Worst case, hit up Kzoo for as many cases as you want.

 

I'll be stopping by there tomorrow. I want at least a six pack and a snifter. Hopefully these are around...

 

I'm hoping to hit the G Store when Black Note hits. I didn't want to drive that far tomorrow though.

 

Should rename this thread Hopslam on the Pallet. I can't recall last year (nor the year prior) but I do know in '11 I was able to obtain Hopslam 4 days after bottling in the Chicago area. I read somewhere in the Hopslam release thread this year's bottle date is 12-20-13. If this is true, Bell's seems to be degressing a bit as it still has not hit the Chicago area yet. I saw some twitter pic from maybe 10 days ago of pallets full of Hopslam just sitting there yet they cannot ship to Chicago until next week it seems. Why the degression?

 

Anyone know if they have more at the general store today?

 

Confirmed to be true. Just bought some yesterday.

I was there yesterday and they were out. Said until next Friday. But Tiffany's and Mega-Bev seem to have a bit left. Mega-Bev has a 1 case limit, but they give you a discount for buying a case. Both are on Main Street 5-10 minutes from the General Store.

 

A friend in the know says a lot more was made this year.

 

Aren't there usually multiple bottle dates?

 

We need that hype with our beer around here in order to fully enjoy it.

 

Yes, last year I believe there were 3-4 different bottling dates.

 

i could be mistaken but i think the two bad winter storms we've had have slowed down the release a little.

Brother is driving through Michigan right now. He's about to pass through Grand Rapids. I've been calling around to find a place for him to stop in but it appears no one in that town has seen it yet. The storm slowed Bell's distro because they closed down for 2 days... Been told this by multiple guys.

Anyone know of a place in Kalamazoo / Benton Harbor / New Buffalo he could find some Hopslam on his way home?

Found mine yesterday at Tiffany's, Mega-Bev, and Drake's. All within 5-10 minutes of the General Store.

Try to find somewere in KZoo. Bell's has the same distrbutor in Benton Harbor/New Buffalo that they do in GR so likely won't be available.

 

Try grocery stores in Kzoo. I got some at D&W on Romence Rd for 17.99/6 pk & they had 6 cases on display as you walk in the door (that was Fri)

 

Yeah they're all right down the road from the Store and Cafe in KZoo
