Site Color Palette: Feedback Wanted

Kind of.

Just looks extremely plain.

 

I did like the old black and white, but I feel there is too much now. So, I see what he's saying. Before there was some color - at the top we had beer mails w/ yellow text, links/clickables were blue, etc.

 

I agree. Doesn't need to have a dominating color scheme, but something a little more than black/white

 

I'd prefer a light text on dark background color scheme (easier on the eyes), but I realize that I'm probably in the minority here.

 

That's what I was suggesting. I'd be interested to see what it looks like at least.

 

Blue > Peach. Easily.

Still wouldn't mind a little more contrast in the reply boxes, but definitely an improvement!

 

Eh, I kind of liked the peach better. Perhaps it could be a bit more golden? It just seemed to blend better with the overall BA feel. This blue seems to be a disconnect.

 

Yeah I tend to agree. Same goes for the usernames of people that have 'liked' a post and the links in the sig section (whether it's your twitter or the 'report' link). It's much like the grey used to show that a link has already been clicked on some sites, also sorta dull. Just sayin' is all.

 

I also would like to see this even if it's just for an hour.

I don't think you're in minority, I also believe it could be easier on the eyes.

Not complaining though, I like how these new forums are ( I liked how the quote boxes were a very light orange a few hours ago)

 

1. I'd prefer the thread titles to just simply be black. The grey isn't HARD to see, but it's definitely a bit more difficult.
2. Would love to have the links be a brighter color. Grey doesn't pop so again hard to pick out a link.
3. New on the right... Black is ok, but I'd definitely like it to pop with a Yellow or sthing.
4. I personally be down for a soft grey on the background. Sort of a middle ground between a full black background and the white.

What about a slight zebra stripe for thread posts?

Looks good. Perhaps Dark gold for the "New" (just the letters, the black background is cool) & perhaps a shade of red for "report" which would certainly make that standout.

The Main Navagation link color could be gold too for letter of the links, on perhpas a black background too, as that matches a bit closer to the color scheme of the main links on the old site, i.e. Home, BA Mag, store. etc. overall this scheme is already better then it was.

 

I would vastly prefer gold (same shade as in the logo) for the background on the tabs versus the dark gray they are now.
