yes, that's why is was an "of course", as in "or if somebody offered some crazy shit i couldn't say no to".

man, people are defensive about their beer values!

What about the port dark lord. Would something like a maple bacon coffee, life is like, and 110k batch 6 be close?

Madness #2 + Damon is fair. Everything after seems like way too much for BVDL, IMO.

Again, to each their own. As long as both sides are happy, that's what matters. I know we both were...plus at the end of the day, it's just beer.

True but I felt like saying something, as advice to others, because I think it is common for people to overpay for BA derp lord.

Lot could be luck and the right trader. I landed a bavdl for a Cthulhu, gates of hell and coffee Abraxas. He had already had it and wanted two limited brewery release only bottles. Both parties were happy.

Got a bourbon DL last week for a bcbvs and 4 BCBCS....if you have something someone else wants anything is possible.

Post some threads, might get lucky

trade those combos for even rarer beers then use those accumulated beers to trade for bvdl

I agree with what you're saying... Last summer, as a local tasting group we did an '11, '12 and '13 BA Dark Lord sets, with '11 Muerte being the last bottle acquired, it was a pain to track down and when we finally found one we gave up something like:
    Fou Foune
    Classic Geuze 750
    Zomer
    Sour Reserve
    St Lam 750

While that is a lot to give up for one stout, it still isnt close to what it would take to land a CCK. The 06 growler is the closest thing to a 1:1 and you would have a hard time convincing someone to give up their cck for an old stout, despite it's considerable rarity. Just my two cents anyway.
