Ah, I see that now. Any of the non-Sundays should be good for me. I have VSS, BA DORIS, some Bruery RS stuff, etc.

I'd lean towards 2/7-9, just since it's not a weekend that already has a ton of beer stuff going on.

Assuming Tin Bucket is the place of choice: not "around the corner" close, but McMenamins White Eagle is under a mile away (stumbling distance?) and basic rooms range $50-60/nt. http://goo.gl/maps/o5j2o

Also, there are a number of hotels/motels around the Oregon Convention Center, which is about a mile south.

Have you ever stayed there Brian? I never have, but I've always been curious about the room "amenities." As I recall, the bar has entertainment/live music on the weekends, which I assume is fairly loud and goes well into the night. So I've always wondered what it would like trying to actually get a decent night's sleep there.

Granted, after the bottle share Reidrover might not even notice the music/noise downstairs, but it's something I've always wondered about.

I vote for 2/9. And if the shipping weather gets better I should have Proprietors and a couple of the JK fruit sours.

I have not stayed at White Eagle (just eaten/drank in the bar a few times), but have talked with a few people who have. General consensus was it's a fun place, rooms are small but clean. Shared bathrooms. Some noise from the pub below does travel up to the rooms, but it's not unbearable. If this tasting happens on Sunday, then I would expect a Sunday night band/crowd to be a little mellower than a Friday/Saturday. Also, the place is supposed to be haunted by several ghosts :grimacing:... I checked online and it looks like at least 3 rooms are available on night of 2/9 (Bunk, Full or Queen beds).

Sunday February 9th seems to work best for the most people, including Tin Bucket (who's graciously agreed to host). Be sure to thank those awesome guys by buying a bottle on your way out. Sorry to anybody who can't make it that day.

Is 6pm still your estimated start time? Usually the weekend bottle shares happen earlier in the day, but it's totally up to you/Tin Bucket re: when works best for the most people.

Darn, a Sunday, maybe next time. Appreciate you putting it together either way though.

Earlier would be way better for me, especially on a Sunday. With lots of folks having to work the next day, I expect I'm not alone.

You can't edit your own post (beyond 15 minutes of posting), but send me the details to edit via conversation... Or maybe an even better idea is to start a new thread once details are set & I can lock/purge this one...

+1 to this. Aside from the fact this is on a Sunday and I have to work the next day, I have to drive back to Eugene afterwards as well. If things get too out of hand I can stay the night in West Linn, but that still means I have to get up early so I can make it to work on time the next day. So the earlier the better for me as well (4:00 is OK, but even earlier would be better if that's at all possible).

Anytime is fine with us at the Bucket. I've stayed many times at the White Eagle, and love it. It's very much for people not worried about getting to bed early and not drunk, or willing to use ear plugs. Excited to host!
