It's only a little late to start a thread on this topic to get some chatter going, but better late than never.

Kalamazoo Beer Week started on Saturday and lasts until this coming Saturday. The various events are listed at http://www.kalamazoobeerweek.com/events-9/ Is anyone in town or who lives close-by who will be going to any of these events? There are a record number of events (194) this year, so something for everyone.

I went to the Michigan Beer Film on Friday, and then a Cellar Brewery tasting plus a Short's tap takeover on Saturday, and had the opportunity to meet HopHeadHerman. It's cool to put a face to a name. I'll attend other events later this week too -- a Perrin beer dinner and the Founders dinner. Founders is expected to serve Rubeaus, KBS and Backwoods Bastard, so I'm looking forward to that.

    How about any of you?

I'm planning on hitting up the Beer Exchange tonight for the Founders backstage series flight since I haven't had Bolt Cutter or Mango even though I have a bottle of both

Went to the pub crawl Sat night and Bell's Brunch yesterday. Probably hitting Bell's Rare Beer, Cured Meat & Cheese Party on Tue. So many events that it is hard to decide.

We'll have a nice draft list for KBE on Thursday night, including the first firkin for West Michigan. It's 2012 Anniversary Ale.

Hey, everyone. If you have reservations for any of the beer dinner events this week and you discover that that particular event has disappeared from the events list of the kalamazoobeerweek.com site then you should check with the restaurant. I just discovered that the Perrin dinner for Wednesday night has been cancelled. That is the second time this has happened to me this week. :slight_frown: The Founders dinner for Thursday is still in the schedule, so I hope to be there for that one.

I was out and about Friday and Saturday night, and hope to get out at least once more while in town. The nice thing is this is the first year I've been in town for so long over the winter holidays and it just so happened the trip coincided with Kalamazoo Beer Week (and Hopslam! in a bottle! For the first time!). Not a negative, but the flip side to this is that it's been a busy busy busy visit. Glad to see this thread. I'm on twitter and posting with the #KBW2014 hashtag when I"m out and about too. Hope to cross paths with some of ya'll, either this week or on a future visit!
