This is a subject held close to my high cholesterol having self. What are your favorite peanut butter flavored beers, and which one holds the top spot?

Right now I'm drinking a Belching Beaver peanut butter milk stout, and I'm sad to say its a little underwhelming. Their regular milk stout is world class but this one falls short.

The roasted peanut flavor is definitely there, but in no way am I getting any trace of peanut butter.

Please help a pb sammich and beer loving man find the ultimate way to find a getaway in one single glass!

Ps. I'm definitely open for trades!

This. Hands down the best peanut butter beer that I've had.

I thought the Belching Beaver was solid. Not amazing, but solid. Karl Strauss' Peanut Butter Cup Porter was fantastic, but they're not bottling it (at least they didn't this past year). The best ever though? Alesmith Peanut Butter Cup and Vietnamese Coffee Speedway.

No Crusts is one of the best beers I've ever had. Nothing like that peanut butter and grape jelly flavor.

All trust in Funky Buddha...I'll be interested to try Spring House's Lil' Gruesome PB & J stout. Their Big Gruesome PB & Chocolate stout was tasty...

Sweet Baby Jesus by DuClaw has been flying off the shelves locally and it's pretty good. I've heard many references of the taste being like "liquid reese's pieces".

Peanut flavor v.s. peanut butter flavor?? I've had the Belching Beaver beer that you're talking about and I thought it had lots of peanut butter flavor. Not sure what the difference is between peanut flavor or peanut butter flavor in beer.

It's hard to explain in words I guess. With peanut butter flavor comes this following creaminess, or richness. 1 demensional peanut flavor kind of dies off really quickly. I dunno, maybe it has to do with mouthfeel and viscosity of the beer.

Interesting. I can see what you're saying. I eat that Laura Scudder peanut butter that's basically just ground up peanuts and oil, so I guess peanut flavor in beer tastes close enough for me. Mother Earth Sin-Tax is apparently infused with peanut butter flavor, but I got very little from it, though the beer was good!

No crusts is awesome, but they also brew a peanut butter and chocolate dark brown ale Don't Tell Reece. Just had some at mbcp release and damn was it good.

That's also the best one I've had to date! Hints of artificial flavoring but damn does it go great with a Reece's Peanut Butter Cup!

Rapp Brewing Chocolate Peanut butter stout. Lots of peanut butter flavor, smooth and creamy. They also have a chocolate hazlenut porter which is phenominal and tastes just like nutella.
