Just ordered mine! Hopefully they will indeed hold them until the following weekend when I'll be in the Cities. :-)

And here's hoping at the taproom that it's not served as cold as it was last year! Brewers should know better. I'm looking at you, too, Indeed! Beers like Rum King and BA Silhouette are not Bud Ice, people should actually be able to taste them:slight_smile:

Draft has to be around 38F or less or you will lose significant amounts of beer to excess head.

Did not know that. So that's a quandary. Because they're too danged cold to taste.

There's a bar in DC called Churchkey that serves all of their draft beer at 42, 48, or 54 degrees; they seem to have figured it out.

You can adjust the CO2 levels to get the proper pressure for warmer beers.

You can also just hold the glass with both hands for a handful of minutes until it's warm...

Not meant to be snarky, just an easy fix to an easy problem.

Very true. I wish (and they will eventually) more bars had the ability to adjust the C02 levels on each tap instead of just having a manifold serving multiply taps.

More like half an hour to an hour, which I personally do find to be a significant amount of time. You don't...that's cool.

Glad you care about the customers and the brewers who want their beer served at the right temp.

The set up at the new Crooked Stave tap room does just that. They have a valve for each tap line, looks pretty bad ass as well.

I should just ignore you, but I'll point out the obvious. I wasn't advocating for temperatures that low; I was just explaining why bars do it.

Fair enough. I suppose that does depend on a lot of things. I guess when I have 12ish ounces in a tulip I find it doesn't take too long. Then again, it's hard to wait any amount of time when I have a tasty beer in my hands. Perhaps I have weirdly warm hands?

It's not unusual for each line to have a separate CO2 regulator; now getting two kegs in the same cold room to be at different temperatures takes a bit of magic:wink:

Son of a !!!! I guess I was living under a rock for the past two weeks, but assumed they would send out an email like they do for all of the other release parties. So pissed I missed out on this one...

    Damn my laziness.

Can anyone pick up some extra for me if possible. Could trade you some Central Waters 16 1:1 or 2:2. Send me a message.
