the place on the post road in Milford - near Raymore and Flannigans (forget the name bc they suck) i think its beverage warehouse (not the one by trader joes)? they got one case of bw in and wanted to sell me the whole case for 120 - so when i went back the next day they raised it to 29.99 a 4 or 180 a case. will never go back into that store again.

The two there are the Wine and Liquor Outlet and New England Beverage Co, which one are you referencing?

I don't doubt it. It's only funny because McLadden's was bragging that they got the only keg in the state on their FB page...

    Back on topic.

Stumbled upon the barley wine tonight at Stews Wines in Danbury. About 3 4 packs left.

I read this paragraph and in my head I go "the new owner of Turnpike Wines in Fairfield was also charging $9.99 for a bottle of BCBCS, where the store down the street was selling them for $5.99. What an asshole". Well come to find out that he also owns Valley Discount Wine in Ansonia. Its all starting to make sense now!!

All right, I'm officially done hunting these, although I wouldn't not buy another few Coffees if I happen to stumble across them. Here's my final tally, with all the stores and how much was left the last I knew:

13x Barleywine: 4 @ Captain's Keg in Stratford, several left; 4 @ Amity in New Haven, none left; 4 at Crushed Grape in Milford, several left; 1 at New England Beverage in Orange, all allocated.

7x Coffee: 2 @ Amity, none left; 1 at Mo's in Fairfield, not sure if any remain (employee grabbed it from the office, limit 1); 4 at a store where the owner asked me specifically not to mention it, so I won't.

4x Backyard: 1 @ Amity, none left; 1 @ Mo's, not sure how many left but was told they only got half a case; 2 @ Crushed Grape, left one on the shelf, along with a few regular BCBS and Barleywine, both of which were a very reasonable $5.75. Great little store.

    Cheers!

As of 2 hours ago BevMax in Stamford had 8 bottles of Backyard left (only received 12 in). I passed due to the fact that each bottle was $25.99. Seems a bit high, no?
