Coming to Socal this coming weekend....Pliny availability??

5-6 is gonna be rough. Even snagging 1-2 is gonna be hard.

 

Most places I can think of get deliveries on Wednesday or Thursday, If they actually get it, I wouldn't expect it to be on shelves into the weekend. If it is it'll be a 1 bottle.limit

 

Check Whole Foods Venice, Whole Foods El Segundo, and Beverage Warehouse. I know the Whole Foods on 3rd and Fairfax got it in last week so I'm guessing other area shops did as well. You might be arriving on an off-week.

 

Wherever you go, I would also specifically ask for it if you don't see it, as it seldom actually gets out on any store shelves.

 

Total Wine in Redondo Beach (Hawthorne Blvd) sometimes gets some on Tuesdays.

Mediterraneo restaurant in Hermosa Beach has it on tap.

 

Love that place. We vacation in summer there, get my annual PTE fix. Food is really good too.

 

It seems like PtE is usually delivered Tues or Thurs, and gone by the end of the day even with 1 or 2 bottle limits. Very doubtful you will find any on the weekend. For me to get multiple bottles, I have to hit multiple shops cuz many get their shipment at the same time and also ask my wife to go buy some. It's easier for you to trade for it vs trying to buy it on a weekend.

 

Best bet is to forget trying to find it in bottles and seek it out on tap, it the best way to drink it. Plus there's a lot of other local breweries doing great ipa/diap etc..

I didn't see it on Beachwood webcam so I doubt they have it on now. I live more in LA so I'm not to familiar with OC bars. Download Tap hunter and use that.

Agree on Fortunate Islands.. That one shocked the hell out of me. Damn good.

 

Was really surprised as well, tasty and under 5%. Call me sold

 

if you coming the week of 1/27.. beachwood is releasing the Melrose ipa, el Segundo - mayberry ipa and bootleggers knuckle sandwich... as for the pliny, I would just call ahead of time ask if they're getting pliny that week.

 

Hollingshead or Haven Gastropub in Orange both regularly have Pliny on tap, should be a 15 minute drive from the Bruery. Out of the Park Pizza gets it also, but you may be fighting all sorts of awful traffic to get there (technically in Anaheim, it's a bit further away than Orange).
