Drinking Sierra Nevada Stout

 

Office closed early today. Just spent the last hour and 15 minutes driving home in this (I live 4 miles from work)


Now I'll be spending the rest of the afternoon sipping on this



I'd say my situation has improved drastically

Away from work early this afternoon to dodge this monster storm bearing down on the DC metro area (a touch of sarcasm).
Anyway, with a few extra drinking hours, figured I get it started right. Getting prepared for the shoveling or playing in the snow with the kids.

 

I was thinking on drinking one of these, but then seen the Insanity. Then I was like screw it, people around here don't hoard Insanity as much as BCBS. So I will keep my lonely four pack to age.

 

Mine had sediment/floaties as well, but I'm assuming because it's unfiltered and not because it's old.. it was a couple months ago when I had it but it was relatively fresh because the store just recieved it..

 

That was my thoughts as well, but my bottles didn't have that much sediment. It might be scratching the bottom of the kettle maybe?

 

We'll all pitch in and send you a cooler of Snow...it's a limited release, 2014 vintage, very fresh. Wouldn't want ya to feel left out

Had a Sierra Nevada Celebration followed by an Allagash House Beer. Probably going to crack my only Bourbon County Barleywine tonight during the Rangers/Islanders game assuming it doesn't get snowed out.

I'd be tempted to pick up some Insanity if I saw it. Heresay too.
I'm trying to be good about not buying too much beer (can there be too much beer). I need to only buy as much as I can drink. Get carried away sometimes. I just got to buy some Nugget Nectar and Hop Ranch. After Sucks, I need to be careful with Hopslam coming up.

 

Just to be clear - the "Like" is for the beer/background and the fact that you are home enjoying it, not for the 4-hour drive home.

 

Needed a stout during this snow day.

 

Just got done Round 1 of shoveling snow. Refueling with a Maine MO.

In my neck o the woods HopSlam is out of the Question. If I took the trip to either Philly or DC, the possibilities of it being in stock is a negatory. So gas money has to be spent on local distro, until I get some more money. As far as Heresy and Insanity, taste is subjective, but I love me some Insanity. Heresy is fine but for Insanity, 11.1 ABV isn't even to scale. So for that, Insanity will always surpass Heresy.
