Odell isnt in California, so I'd check out anything by them. Their regular line up and seasonals are all great and are always better than their Cellar Reserve 750 ml releaes IMO. So I'd say find the style(s) you like from them and check it out. Their IPA, Myrcenary IIPA, Cutthroat Porter, Runoff Red IPA, are all currently on the shelves and are all fantastic. IMO, each represents the best beer of that style from Colorado.

Funkwerks, Elevation, Trinity, Grimm Brothers are some other ones to keep an eye out for. And hit up Crooked Stave while in Denver and you should be able to check out stuff from them that isn't out in California.

Thanks for the thorough list! Writing all of those down.

Staying right near Wynkoop when I'm in Denver, so at the very least have a stop there on my to-do list. Saw there are several other great beer bars/breweries right nearby too.

Had a party last year, only myself and 2 of my friends drink craft, so I went with 4 different 4/6 packs of beers:

    Midas Touch
    Weihenstephaner Hefe
    Old Rasputin
    2XIPA

It was a good mix for the 3 of us

Northern New Jersey only. Southern NJ is a suburb of Philly.

I could tout Colorado beers all day, but for what you're going with, Avery makes a great IPA and porter, and their bombers of Salvation, Reverend, and the Dictator Series (they are on the Maharaja now) are also good. I don't drink much Oskar Blues but I do love their G'Knight Imperial Red, though not sure if I'd want to be pounding those at a Superbowl party.

Another brewer from CO you might want to check out is Great Divide. You really can't go wrong with them; they have a really good spread of different styles and in my opinion pretty much nail every one of them.

Any reason you wouldn't want to try Redhook? If you're with some folks who aren't typically drinking craft Audible would be a really great choice. Plus, we brewed it with Dan Patrick so it's got a strong connection to both Seattle and the NFL.

Check his press conference from today and see if you think he's still an arrogant bastard. I wish there were more dudes like him in the world.

Not to go down this rabbit hole, but the response following his post-game comments have been ridiculous. For many, it was the first time they'd really seen him on TV and it showed by how little they knew about him prior to his relatively small outburst.

Flying Fish Exit 16 works perfectly for the sports complex in New Jersey where the game is at.

Pigskin Pale Ale by Beer Valley(football on the label)
The name pays homage to the color of the beer, it's an ideal sessionable pale ale for "any given sunday" with a lot of character, the bros score on BA is 90. I like it.

Anything from Great Divide and Pike, that'd cover both teams and keep everybody happy.

Honestly, I think sticking with Oskar Blues is actually a really good idea. If a lot of your guests aren't "regular craft beer drinkers," I bet Mama's Little Yella Pils would be a pretty easy-drinking choice for them, and a solid pilsner for the two of you who are into craft beer.

Any dude who throws out statements that "I'm better at life than you" is a jackass regardless of educational level or athletic ability. Sticking to beers, I like to use the Super Bowl to drink the best beer I saved from the previous year followed by numerous session beers.
