Jake's Liquor in Monroe was a dollar higher, but no other purchase was required, so I bought 2 more sixers from Jake's Liquor.

Just got back from Liquor Cabinet in Temperance. Strong selection of beers, well laid out, clean store and friendly staff. Completely worth the 25 minute drive for Michigan only beer and the little diner next door was pretty great too.

Flicks's was only 3-4 miles down the street and was worth the stop as they had a couple things that Liquor Cabinet didn't, though a MUCH smaller selection. They also had a great selection of scotch, including some hidden gems on the shelf that I would have picked up if I had the cash.

It can also be noted that Flick's seemed to be at least a dollar more on everything.

I also stopped by The Anderson's in Maumee and found their selection to be strong but that particular store seemed to have slightly older IPA's than I expected. Maybe the turnover is better at the Sylvania location.

Denny's Craft Beer is closed "temporarily" according to the sign outside. Maybe they already found a new buyer?

Also, anyone ever eat at the Burger Bar in the same plaza as Denny's? Their Facebook page mentioned that they had a keg of Hopslam on Tuesday but I couldn't find a beer list anywhere.

So far, in the two full days I've been here, I've been very impressed with the area. I think I'm really going to like it here

While the first review is obviously trolling and against the rules, I can vouch for the selection. It's where I'll be going for stuff from MI that I can't get here, since it's closer to my house than Flick's and cheaper.

Since I'm in Toledo, I'll definitely have to check this Liquor Cabinet place out. I always enjoyed stopping by Flicks, but usually for their liquor, not beer so it will be nice to see a place with more selection. It will be nice to get some beers that aren't available in Toledo.

Just to resurrect this for when I come home to Toledo from school, can you find bottles from Maumee Bay Brewing in stores like the Andersons or Joseph Beverage Center or maybe even Kroger?

You'll find bottles of Amarillo Brillo and Total Eclipse at the Andersons and Joseph's; pretty sure some of the Krogers also carry them. Cans of Buckeye abound at all those stores, too.

I have been noticing that Kroger has been really upping their game with stocking craft beer. You can usually find a variety of Great Lakes among others at thee one in Sylvania.

Was anyone in Toledo area able to pick up Great Lakes Chillwave?

There are literally cases upon cases of it at every single store that sells good beer!

Anderson's maumee has at least twenty right when you walk in the store

I'm just curious, I know I won't be able to get it, but does Toledo get any KBS or no?

Last year, the Andersons in Toledo and Sylvania each got 1 case. There was also an article in the Blade that implied Joseph's might have gotten some last year (a store owner/employee made a reference to a long waiting list for a special beer right around KBS release time), but I don't know. Good luck with the hunt this year.

Found a bottle at Andersons Talmadge...should be at least a little more hitting throughout the week. I doubt anyone will see more than single bottles unless you were already on a list.

Didn't manage to get any KBS today good for everyone who did though. However, I did pick up some Fire & Blood Red Ale and Old Curmudgeon Ale so still not a bad haul.

What's everyone's favorite place to buy beer here in Toledo? Based on price and selection I probably would have to go with Marino's Beverage Depot and then the Andersons market and general store.

Anderson's for sure. However, Liquor Cabinet in tempperence is great too.
