I may have spoken too soon.

According to seekabrew.com, Pike doesn't distro to Cali. Seems odd that we get it all the way here in Florida, but they don't get it in Cali. Elysian does appear to to distro to Cali though. We don't get that here in Florida.

You're drinking it so much that you're not sure, and you're asking us if you're drinking it that often? :astonished:

Judge a man by his entire body of work, not one act. Just my two cents.

And I do agree with you on session beers for Super Bowl Sunday. It's a lot of game and even more commercials, you want to make sure you're not done by halftime. Low abv is the way to go.

If you go with Oskar Blues you might luck out and find their variety pack(12 Pack) which gives you three different beers and isn't' too expensive, and it does include the Pils.

Well most people in the craft world turn their backs to Olys and Rainier... Anything pabst for that matter... So I guess it was a "I actually drink it often, what's wrong with that?" Type sentence. Just shortened.

Yeah, relying on SoCal distro, just so it's not a huge ordeal. If I can find any of those around here, I'll look to grab them.

No distro in CA according to this map: http://www.elysianbrewing.com/distribution/

Well technically, New York and New Jersey are "co-hosting" the game. So it's not exactly wrong, per se, to call it a New York Super Bowl, despite where the actual game is being played.

    OK, here's the original post:
im going with NY brews. cause i live in NY and its being played in NY. with that being said go Broncos!

Pardon my persnicketyness but clearly this is wrong. The game is being played in a stadium in New Jersey, not in a stadium in New York and there's a relatively large river seperating the two states - it's not like you can walk across the street and be in the other state. I'll agree that it's being co-hosted by both states since there will be events going on on both sides of the river but co-hosting is different from where the game will take place, I believe.

And just to keep this beer-related, do you happen to know where the Bud Light cruise ship is going to be docked?

Can't say that I do. Wasn't exactly on my to-do list.

I remember a press release from the fall indicating that it would be docked right next to the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum- not too far from all the other goings-on in midtown.

Weird, sorry for them, Pike's has some good stuff. Sorry to OP you can't get Elysian as they make great stuff too accodring to their website. For some odd reason, I would have thought Elysian does go to CA.

I just might do that! Makes a lot of sense to me, plus it's an excellent beer!

That's unfortunate. I can get Elysian in PA. Idiot Sauvin is very good...
