Is this a Tesco pizza that you've poured mead onto? Bevis the machine strikes again....

I'm currently having a Hellas Pils. Devastatingly bland, but I suppose that's about right for a Greek brew.

Very nice, though nothing mind blowing compared with the quality of some big stouts out there.

Pizza burger (yes, pizza burger - burger with tomato and herb sauce, mozzarella, and pepperoni, in a bun) with a few halves of Buxton Axe Edge on tap at the Urban Tap House.

Lunch really doesn't get much better than that.

Westmalle Dubbel. Didn't realise Waitrose stocked this. Also picked up their belgian blonde to try, it's reduced at the moment.

tried the belgian blonde, much better than leffe, not as good as duvel - it's really unsubtle, big yeast flavours in your face. worth a drink tbf

anyone tried the tesco belgian with a cork+cage?

pre-emptive happy birthday to you bevis, hopefully some exquisite beers shall be enjoyed by you on the day

It's quite good much much better than this sugary bollocks M&S Tripel which
and I quote myself, and I do almost know half a thing about beer
"With the huge price, huge packaging and big ABV unless this is on special offer you really can do without it."

I have an aged Wincle that might be brought out
but let's keep the conversation to beer

Yes, and it's a solid effort. Brewed by the brewery that puts out Delirium, so they know what they're doing - the result is a quality brew that flies under the radar.

I've just finished a San Miguel, and am now on TSA's Double Espresso....

In one of those drinking moods, probably due to that amazing Axe Head. So getting home it was a nice snifter of madeira, a pint of Titanic Chocolate and Vanilla stout (Not great), a couple of elderflower G+Ts (Edinburgh Gin Elderflower Gin really is amazing), a few drams of Talisker, a bottle of Franciscan Well Friar Weisse (mediocre but good for Tesco), and now sampling the Courage RIS to see if it's worth the ridiculously tiny bottle.

Cheers for the tips on the tesco belgian, I will indulge myself

keep your winkle to yourself please bevis :open_mouth:

I'm a bbit far gone too, been drinking a few homebrews amongst the rest. Oh well...

That courage is ok but I'd rather get the Harveys one and their other strong ales and lay them down rather than the new RIS
