California gets the shaft on any Midwest/ east coast distro, even though any of our large breweries distribute out there :slight_frown:

    Cali ones that I miss...

Alpine, Russian River, Port, Bruery, Beachwood (not just the beer, but the hanging out), Firestone, Bear Republic, Alesmith and I feel like I barely got to know Societe before I left, but they made a great impression. And that is just one state's beers not available here in MN.

A quick list from around the country would be... Cigar City, Terrapin, most of the Shelton Brothers portfolio (they pulled out of MN two months before I moved here), Hill Farmstead, Oskar Blues (basically just for Ten Fidy), HOTD, Prairie, Toppling Goliath (probably coming soon), Dogfish Head and Cascade.

    In order of preference:

    Kuhnhenn
    Jester King
    CCB
    Gänstaller-Bräu
    Hill Farmstead
    Firestone Walker
    New Glarus
    Russian River
    Hair of the Dog
    Kiuchi
    Laugar

    This will never happen.
I have had beers from all of these breweries, that is how I know that they are awesome.

Toppling Goalith, I'd trade half my cellar just to try Morning Delight again. The whole cellar for KBBS. And I love what they are doing with the X Hops series. All of their beers I have sampled are top notch. The drive is soooo far, I hope I can make it to the next big stout release.

Surprising that Maryland doesn't see these. In PA Founders has been readily available for a while and Bells has just been added recently. If you build a demand, they will come. Breweries/distributors like to know where the demand is so I say contact the distributors in your area and the brewers you want to try.

Cigar city, FFF, t he alchemist, Hill Farmstead, Firestone Walker, New Glarus, the list goes on and on. I will say however that after adding New Belgium, Deschutes, and Lagunitas in the last year, I don't have a lot of room to complain.

I have never had anything from either, but Cigar City and Terrapin seem to be big on the boards. Texas has really improved the last few years with changes in the law and more distribution. However, I think it is still very costly in terms of licensing etc. for smaller out of state breweries to come here.

You shouldn't have a problem. Surly may be MN only but it's not hard to find here. Which route are you coming up through? Straight to the cities like I imagine? Otherwise if you're running through west-central MN I can tell you where you can find some.

Too easy, but I'll chime in with the obvious:
    Russian River
    Hill Farmstead
    Alchemist
    Three Floyds

Used to include Bell's in there, but word is, it'll be on LI in another coupla weeks! :grinning:

Shouldn't complain, because we have it pretty good in PA compared to some other states, but Surly, Schlafly, and New Glarus would be nice. New Belgium should really be here.

Anyone want to start a thread on breweries they wish would leave their state?

The distro in S FL is getting better, but it seems we miss a lot of the special releases. I am not really into sours or Belgians, however.
