Kinda a tough one for me since I'm always drinking beer, but here's my stab:

Winter = cold snowy night, fire in the fireplace, dog curled up by my feet, and wife sitting on the couch next to me knitting as a I watch some old western by Clint Eastwood with a stout or porter.

Spring = Black IPA's - tryin' to bust out the grill to push the winter away, still Old Man Winter tries to cling on to keep me off my back porch. The warmer nights of Spring I can be found on my back porch.

Summer = IPA's, fresh Saisons, and Pilsners in front of the grill along with a nice bonfire goin' on in the firepit.

and then comes Fall = Brown ales, ESB's, Pumpkin ales bring 'em on with the football games.

Oh yeah almost always a Quad with Easter dinner and a Barleywine with Thanksgiving dinner.

    - Saturday afternoon sampling sessions at a brewery of choice with people from all walks of life to chat with.

    - Same as Kangaroo Adams, cold snowy winter night after being outside for sometime doing snow removal duties, coming in to warm up my bones by my fireplace then retiring to my favorite chair, fire roaring, dog by my feet watching something great on the TV (I'll stay with speghetti western Clint for you..that works fine) dosing off. So relaxing and peacefull!

Doing alot of yardwork in the summer, coming in for the afternoon to rest and watch some baseball/NASCAR and have a few beers then dose off for a siesta.

I really enjoy a cold beer while grilling on my deck as well.

While at home I love sitting down around the kitchen table with a friend or a few drinking a rare beer that I trade for and talk about beers and stuff, my all-time favorite setting is somewhere abroad, sometimes scenic, sometimes just a local place that's just cool. Like these...

    Vlore, Albania at sunset...

Having an Erdinger looking over the caldera of Santorini, Greece
    [IMG]

Another local beer at a rest stop in Bosnia-Herzegovina
    [IMG]

At a randomly found microbrewery in Sofia, Bulgaria
    [IMG]

7AM, immediately upon arrival, and Belgrade central train station..drinking a Montenegrin beer.[IMG]

    Cheers!

Out on the porch any time of day, or in front of my fireplace.

As a recent college graduate, I would give anything to go back and enjoy some beers by the firepit/patio area we built next to our house's parking lot. Some of my favorite memories are drinking on that patio the night before breaks. Everyone else had gone home, so it was always a group of guys that didn't hang out together regularly, drinking anything from Hamms to Boulevard Smokestack beers. These nights always led to the weirdest/most interesting conversations, and I loved it.

I will also vouch for the solo crowd. Odell's Isolation Ale and Great Divide's Orabelle will always remind me of enjoying a beer by myself in my freezing basement while the winds were whipping through single degree temperature nights.

I've also never had a bad time drinking anything in the parking lot at either Kauffman Stadium or Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

Sitting on the porch of my brother in law's house on top of Elk Ridge Mountain, overlooking Valle Crucis towards Boone, with Grandfather Mountain looming off the other way catching the end of the day. The actual beer in my hand matters much less than the peace this place allows.

I cringe imagining all those beers skunking. jealousy I imagine :grinning: Cheers to you.

    1) Backpack beer and sandwich, Hitchcock, Kurosawa, and Renoir double features, balcony seat.
    2) Porch beers at the end of a hot day on the farm.

I love catching a lunchtime beer during a day of skiing. There's something almost magical when the hops (and it's most always a hoppy beer) hit you as you're warming up inside from the cold.

This fall some friends and I rafted the Upper Gauley for the first time. Back at the campground, I had All-Day IPA, Huma Lupa Licious, Dale's Pale and Old Chub waiting for me in the cooler. After the adrenalin rush of that trip, those beers went down as easy as any I've ever had.

The bar that over looks the ski slope is NUMBER 1, always. Than, on the chaise end of the sectional sofa nearest the fireplace. If it wasn't for the neighbors annoying yappy mutt, I'd say out on my back deck.

Immediately after making a batch of homebrew, and cleaning up, sanitizing what needs to be sanitized, and putting everything away...that beer right there, that's a good beer.

I have to admit, I love the pub setting. Or any environment where beer lovers can enjoy their beer of choice. Next would be in my man cave while watching sports or ESPN.
