Pugachev’s Cobra - OC/LA Sightings

They had them in stock at Liquor Depot on Saturday. I bought one.

 

I just picked up a bottle at Liquorama in Upland, CA. There was one more on the shelf, and I wouldn't be surprised if they had more behind the counter. Hope this helps somebody - I would call ahead to make sure it's still in stock.

 

Liquor Mart had 4 cases of it today @ $17.99

 

La Sirena tapped a 2012 keg last night and it's drinking great!

 

Liqour Paradise in Rancho has several bottles. They have barrel #3 and #4

 

G&D Liquor in Fullerton had about 8 bottles last week. It's a hole-in-the-wall liquor store with a walk in craft beer fridge...Pretty damn cool. Pugachevs were $20.

 

I found a crap ton of it at San Dimas Liquor in San Dimas and BevMo in City of Industry! It's still out there! YAY!

Its also on tap in Pomona at Rookery ale house along with abyss

 

It was on Thurs. Got a small pour. Delicious.

 

It was on at Slater's 50/50 a couple weeks ago...$15 for an 8 oz pour.

I have 3 bottles - so no, not greedy. I'm sure they still have it and I noticed that BevMo in Industry/Wanut has some as well!

 

Saw some on the shelf at Whole Foods Santa Monica yesterday. on 5th and Wilshire.

Seriously? The bottles I've seen are 18-20 each for 750 ml. 15 for a pour is a grip!

 

Seems like the standard price for the cost of the product.

I can get a six'er of Stone IPA for $7 bucks. That's 72ounces of beer. How dare some place try to charge me $5 for a pint of it!

 

Margin usually goes down as the price goes up. If you compared Coors light to Stone IPA in the other direction, Stone IPA would be $8.50 a pint.

At least my buddy that owns an alehouse tells me this, less profit on pricier beers.
