I had one last night and I am NOT a hop head at all. I thought the appearance and smell were outstanding, and it had maybe the best mouthfeel of any DIPA I've ever had. Taste was not for me though.

I love this. Translated for non-craft folk: it's an excellent beer… it just doesn't taste very good.

One of the easiest-drinking 11% ABV beers I've ever had. Drank like a pale ale, tasted like a DIPA, and hit you like a Mack Truck.

My beer guy said later this week in NJ. Despite getting ripped apart for asking when this would make it to NJ (even though the original info on here was wrong), I figured I'd share.

Deliveries are going out this morning in NJ. At the end of this week everyone should have access to it in their distribution networks.

I wish hi-res were coming to the DC area. Called all the local spots and they said they don't know if or when its coming in.

It's on the shelf at P St. Whole Foods. Smoke and Barrel has a keg coming this week as well. It will be around.

Some stores near me, around gloucester county have it in. Beer manager told me he thoroughly enjoyed it. Now in his top 3 DIPA's. Haven't yet had it myself.

Got a 4 pack of this over the weekend. Definitely strong, not as balanced as Resin, but good overall. Definitely best served around 45*F, maybe even a little warmer. Straight out of the fridge I got a strong alcohol aftertaste. As it warmed, the flavor and complexity came out a lot more (as expected) and became more palatable.

Big props to Sixpoint for taking the time to take care of their customers on BA. I know this isn't the first time and I'm sure it won't be the last but I wanted to say that it's awesome!

It's a lot more intense than resin. With resin, I have to remind myself that it's 9% so I don't drink too much because it's so smooth and balanced. Definitely won't have that problem with hi-res. It's a sipper, with a distinct alcohol taste. Much different experience than resin.

So to answer your question, It's very good, and a little like resin, but also much different. I probably couldn't drink more than one in a row. For me it was worth trying, and I might order it at a bar now and again, but I don't see it becoming a go-to like resin is for me.
