FFF is in "The Region". We don't consider ourselves part of Indiana! Seriously, there is little link to Indy because most of our economic activity comes due to Chicago.

 

There are several decent and/or seedy motels on rt30 in Schererville, a short drive south. Just be careful with Johnny Law.

 

Going to stay in Naperville, IL again I think (same as last year).

 

Anyone looking for a hotel, not exactly walking distance but brand new Hampton Inn on US 41 (Indianapolis blvd.) in scherelville, IN.

 

Contemplating doing the bus again, leaving from parking lot of Castle Vav this time. Stay tuned.

 

They had check points set up last year, just as a warning...

Where were they set up at? We stayed at the Holiday Inn right on rt30 a couple miles east of Calumet Ave. Didn't see anything.

 

They were in the industrial park on the way out of DLD, about mid-day. I paid to park in at the business just south of FFF. They were funneling traffic past a check point where they were randomly selecting cars.

 

They probably didn't have enough jail cells to check every car.

 

You may as well stay in downtown Chicago... It may be a closer drive.

There's always the Reggie's bus. However, that bus doesn't arrive at DLD as early as some people may want to be there.

If I get a ticket I'll figure it out after the fact. Really though I'll die a happy (and drunk) man if I get a BB Vanilla Bean Dark Lord.
