Heading to Big Sky on Wednesday. Just wondering which bottles shops I need to visit while I'm there. Any beer bar recommendations welcome too. Thanks

In Big Sky, The Hungry Moose had the best bottle selection as of a few weeks ago. I'd also check The Cave since it's only a block or so away. Lone Peak Brewery will beer your best bar option.

If your flying in, stop in Belgrade. If your driving in hit Albertsons in Bozeman. Have gotten a few sad growlers from Lone Peak Brewery. I would try to bring my own if possible.

Sometimes the chance to get out and have a few, order some food and potentially interact with new people is just as important as drinking the best possible beer available. Lone Peak's taproom is usually hoppin' (one of the few options in the meadow) and also has a shuffleboard table. They also have a broad lineup with flights available.

I've been stopping there 1 or 2 times a year since they opened and growlers are the least of my complaints with this brewery - those being a) typically inattentive servers/bartenders (owner's wife especially) and b) terrible quality control with the 22oz bottles. Something like 5/8 I've had have been gushers.

On another note, stop at the Blue Moon Bakery if you get the chance. They do some nice things there, especially pizzas.
