Shorts around Valentine's Day

Last summer when my wife and I were in TC, we tried out Brewery Ferment. The beer was pretty good and the people there were really nice. I actually liked the beer I had at Ferment better than the Cherry Pie Whole I had at Right Brain.

 

Terra firms is legit. Doing their thing on that farm!

 

Didn't the guy from terra firma work for right brain? I thought that's what someone there told me? Not like it matters just curious so I don't sound like an A hole.

 

Yes, he originally worked for Traverse Brewing Company and then left when Right Brain first opened and became the head brewer there.

 

My stash after visiting Short's summer of 2013:

 

Stormcloud in Frankfurt is my favorite Up North brewery (other than Short's).

EDIT: It's on the other side of Traverse City from Gaylord though.

 

I hope that's not a recent pic. Most of those are well past their prime. The Strawberry Shorts is still tasting very good though.

 

Tandem Ciders is pretty awesome if your into that. It's in Traverse City.

 

No, it's from last year. All that stuff is gone except for a couple of Short's Cake. Matter of fact, I had one tonight and it did taste good. Surprise since I heard it doesn't taste good after a few months.

 

I've had year old Short's Cake. Still delicious.

 

I have two year old Short's Cake that is still tasting damn fine.

 

If you read that out of context, it sounds gross.

 

I had read that because of the milk sugars, most people said Short's Cake should be drank sooner the better. Only reason I have some still sitting around is because I bought an extra sixer cause my wife loves it, but she hasn't been drinking it. I didn't want it to go to waste.
