Yeah, I was mostly referring to their fruit beers, some of which I was under the impression (perhaps mistaken) are barrel aged. While I don't love CW's bba stuff, they certainly do worlds more of it than NG does.

Yep a lot of people pointed that one out, haha. I was typing too fast with the thought of Boulevard=Kansas City.

Around here it's De Molen. Quality and especially quantity are unmatched.

Emelisse is becoming a big player as well. Some of their white label BA beers are outstanding.

Minneapolis Town Hall has been doing it longer and better than any other brewery in the state. Probably in the top 10 in the nation.

Really surprised that everyone in Ohio has forgotten to mention Columbus. Steel Dawn is easily one of the best bourbon barrel-aged Imperial Stouts in the state. Yes, Jackie O's, Hoppin' Frog and Thirsty Dog are all great and obvious choices, but Columbus is doing some cool stuff.

Nationwide, you can talk about Goose Island or Firestone Walker, but in the last year neither has put out barrel-aged beers as highly sought after or highly regarded as those from Toppling Goliath.

Against The Grain in Kentucky because they aged a beer in PAPPY VAN WINKLE barrels. Alltech is also a good one they make a few bourbon barrel aged beers, but I don't really care about them because they didn't use PAPPY.

Watch out for Toppling Goliath this year, they got a hold of Pappy barrels. Iowa's best barrel program is TG.

Yup; aged Rumpkin loses a little of the heat/burn. Five of us did the entire line of Avery BA stuff (up to that time, anyhow) back in April of last year and I actually liked the first year's batch of Rumpkin over the second year's. Didn't get a chance to get any of the '13 batch.................

I just had a St. Bretta summer 2 nights ago, and damn that was a good beer. It has been in my cellar since September at around 50 degrees. The brett is really nice, and citrus tones were still very present!

They usually try to always be barrel aging something. Noggin Knocker at Christmas time, and last month had Kolbs Farm in chocolate bourbon barrels. I hope they brew Lake of Fire again soon and put it into barrels of some sort.

Best BA Georgia beer IMO is Wreaking Bar's Cabernet Barrel aged Ye Old Sprinklerhead.

I'd have to go with Steel Toe in MN. Its a really low bar, but I've had 2 BA beers from them: both were great and neither was infected. That is more than I can say for Town Hall, Fitgers, Lift Bridge, Fulton, Indeed or anyone else in this state.
