Favorite Colorado IPAs?

For a huge craft beer state, our IPAs don't often get the love they deserve or are overshadowed by the West coast styles.

*Note - I highly recommend you check out Avery's Boulder IPA festival. Great selection from in and out of state and you get to mingle with the brewers. Had a nice chat w/ the guys from Telluride who were enjoying the experience (i.e. beer).

 

Although not an ipa, I always leave dry dock with a growler of breakwater pale. That beer is probably my favorite in the state.

 

Backcountry's Double IPA is coming out this week. Should be on the shelves shortly.
Pretty gosh-darn good beer.

That's an understatement. It's freakin' AMAZING.

 

I'll be down in Denver this weekend. Hopefully Mr. B's will have the Backcountry IIPA on hand then, never tried it but really want to.

We should. Tivoli has it now and Alan pinky-sweared us some. Kind of up to their delivery methods, but they usually arrive on Thursdays

 

I'll be having Dry Dock's DIPA during the Super Bowl. Will report back.

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but strange brewing's 1000 barrel is one of my favorite Colorado beers out there. Rickoli's been rolling out some pretty good high abv ipas too.

 

yeah, 1000 barrels is great. Reminded me a lot of Hopslam. Gonna check out Station 26's double ipa this week.

 

I just had my first Batch 60 from crooked stave. Holy crap that beer is good.

What store are you at?

 

Grapes and Grains on Colorado and Yale. Hard to see from the street, but right next to Pier 1 and King Soopers. Slotted Spoon is across the way = excellent meatballs!

 

I used to go there all the time! I lived over in UHills. Love Slotted Spoon. I've since moved further north in Denver so I don't make it down there as much anymore.
