I want to...curse not having a car and having to rely on friends to take me to releases...maybe this weekend if it lasts.

I took the commuter rail last year. Not ideal, but sometimes it's necessary

It is a 8-10 min walk from the West Natick station.

15 minutes tops. The hardest part is the timing with catching a train back, but now that they have a full bar it'll be easy to kill time

Sounds like a plan...ill be there sat unless something comes up. Hope a decent amount is saved for then.

Edit...yikes how does it take 50 mins for the commuter rail to get to frammingham

I landed there at 5:00pm today - Got my 6 bottles of each in less than 10min, came back in and had a full snifter pour of each (BA Vanilla and BA Coffee)... Whole stop was probably under 40min. Very well organized, not too crowded.

Guessing that Saturday right at 12pm will be madness, and assuming Julio's will be 2x as crazy... But today at JA was great.

Is there a decent amount for those who arrive between 12:00 and 1:00? Still 6 of each per person?

I opened a Coffee and a Vanilla tonight. I have to say, the Vanilla knocks it out of the park. Such Vanilla, so tasty, very barrel aged, Wow!

Great release tonight. I did a flight of ba framinghammer, vanilla and coffee. Great to taste all at once. I was 3% disappointed the regular wasn't available to taste but no biggie

Open vanilla. Pretty boozy, especially compared to last year

Cue the obligatory "not as good as last year thread." I kid, I kid

Luckily friend works close by and grabbed my share for me. I still have last year's to compare. Mini vert sort to speak. Looking forward to it.

I agree here. Definitely the favorite for me, and was last year also.

Also really want to thank the people at Jack's Abby for actually having the variants on draft. Can't tell you how much better that makes the whole experience. This should be a universal practice.

I agree, but sounds like we are in the minority. Maybe bottle variation from the increased production. I thought last years Vanilla was sublime. There was so much vanilla, almost like sucking on vanilla beans and not a hint of booze. I was kind of disappointed in this years version especially considering the price bump. Not nearly the same intensity of vanilla and much more boozy. Don't get me wrong it was still a very good beer, but kind of a let down. Thankfully I still have one bottle left from last year

I will say that the booziness in mine died down after being in the glass for 45 minutes or so

Anyone in the boston area, who is like minded and wants to show up relativly early shoot me a pm if they dont mind me tagging along...would pay towards allocation of persons bottles or something else if they prefer...the train times are not the best. Either show up right at 12 and prob have to wait in line awhile or show up too early and have multiple hours to kill.

    thanks,

    mike
