Sussex Mild and Sussex Pale Ale from Harveys at the The Royal Oak, I even had to add the latter to Untappd! (surely the ultimate whale if it's not even on the radar?) I was also surrounded by CAMRA people who were sorting out and sending off copies of London Drinker, I got a copy, as I was leaving the pub and putting the copy in my bag I got a nod from someone on the way in, I now feel part of an elite group and wont be touching any of that cold fizzy yellow piss ever again.

Many happy returns Zimbo. I'm off for a rummage, hopefully to bring forth an appropriate bottle.

    2012 Bateman's Vintage Ale
I can see how the year in the bottle has added to the flavour
unlike the Canadian ham crisps with Cheesy puffs I am inhaling

Inspired by the drinking in black books
    will sup more!
Innis and Gunn Irish Whiskey Finish
Remember the stinky kid that hit adolescence
and the inclusion of body odour brought about pure pain for the nostrils
that's what this smells like :grimacing:

Bringing back Swedish beer, the topic not the liquid
Ocado have now started stocking Gotlands Bryggeri so have put in an order and will get a chance to sample a broader range now

Gotlands Bryggeri has a really nice lineup of beers and I particularly enjoy their Wisby Pils but the rest of the line up that I've had from them (the stout, klosteröl, bulldog IPA, summer pale ale) are also tasty well made beers. Gotlands Bryggeri is owned and operated by Spendrups (the same brewery that makes the Pistonhead beer), they have a separate small brewery on the island of Gotland where they brew part of the beer but when demand exceeds capacity they brew the remaining volume at their mainland brewery (in the interest of full disclosure, since they have recently stopped using their brewery name on the cans and bottles from their side-projects like Pistonhead and Gotlands Bryggeri).

Tomorrow is my official drinky night meeting up with friends at Port Street Bar but out tonight
to see a showing of the eighties brat pack shlock rock horror Lost Boys
Met up first at Fab, a Sci Fi bar that does their best to put on a cask beer despite not having a proper cellar
no cask but they just got in some bottles of Point IPA which is a bit of a hop monster. Went on to the venue where I was bought.a bottle of Marston's EPA but with the Point still lingering it was like Sol or some other pretend beer

Still no "golden ale" available to add a beer as. The fuck kind of beer site is this? Stuck in the 90s is seemingly what it is it is.

I guess you have to put it in the bitter or pale ale or american blonde category depending on what takes your fancy

Then probably mark it down for not being to style

Drinking Founders Breakfast Stout, it's wonderful. You ca really get the coffee and chocolate flavours, one of the best stouts I've had.

I'm not sure about it. I mean it was good but far from celestial in my books. I'll need to drink another bottle.
