Sometimes they alternate farmers markets regarding Double Sunshine. I noticed that Double Sunshine seemed to be available once every two months at these markets. However, it seems that there will be an increase in the DS supply.

I realize the barrel takes time and money, but a lot of the Founders special releases are getting tough to get and scarce.

Tampa is about 500 miles from my house, unfortunately. I live in NW Florida about an hour from the Alabama border, in a rural/semi-suburban neighborhood. I'm smack dab in the middle of Busch Light country where the idea of "craft" is Stella Artois and Shock Top, so for me to get -good- beer is always a once in a while excursion.

Ever heard of the documentary "Vernon, FL"? Yeah, that's where I went to school...

The Kaze No Tani beer only available at Cafe Mugiwaraboushi at the Studio Ghibli Museum in Mikata, Japan.

This beer isn't even listed on Beer Advocate. I should have made more notes about it when I tried it. It was delicious though!

Most "whales" seem to fall into my lap when I'm not looking for them. Proprietor's, Backyard, Lunch, Another One, Darkness and Barrel Aged Framinghammer all came to me recently with little to no effort.

It took me a very long time to get Pliny and Heady but in the end I didn't get them until I stopped actively trying.

I'd really love to try Double Sunshine, PseudoSue, Vanilla Dark Lord and about 20 things from Hill Farmstead.

They hand out tickets at 8am and start selling the beer at 10am. I only have experience with the outdoor Waitsfield Farmer's Market in July, but you can definitely get your ticket and maybe go somewhere for breakfast. I'm pretty sure you don't have to stay on the premises as long as you have your ticket. They'll generally go through 50 people in an hour.

If you go to the market in Montpelier, there was a good breakfast diner on a corner that makes their own bagels and stuff. Also at the Waitfield location there is also a breakfast place in the shopping plaza to the right of the market that also makes their own bagels.

All great beers, fortunate enough to have had them all, definitely worth waiting for... Actually that Bourbon County Stout is worthy of traveling a good distance to go get it, truly amazing brew.

Hands down for me, Bells Hopslam ... The elusive beer has gotten away from me, but this year come hell or high water I am tracking it down. It should be here in Florida within a few days to sometime next week. It. Will. Be. Mine. lol

Well, maybe BAF, Lunch and Another one aren't exactly whales -- but they are traded for a lot. BAF is definitely made in a lot smaller quantities than say Heady Topper...

For me it's Almanac sours. I've had the pleasure of scoring 1 bottle of DogPatch Sour a few months back and before I could crack into it, my wife let me know how delish it was :slight_frown: The quest continues!
