...I had bought a single bottle of Indecision Ale and it was byfar the worst beer I ever had. I emailed them that I figured it was a problem on their end, and they mentioned that it was an issue with their fermentation tank. I specifically asked to not be reimbursed, but they sent over a six-pack within 48 hours of my e-mail.

I haven't yet cracked open one of the beers to see if it truly was an isolated issue, but other breweries take note.

Maybe this didn't warrant its own thread, but I'll personally be making a visit to their brewery the next time I'm on my way to Chicago.

Great they did that, love to see that when breweries take care of the customer.

With that said, it definitely is a lackluster brewery. Better wine and vodka. Actually REALLY good vodka from grapes.

Drinking one of the Indecisions right now. It's still not a great beer, but a pretty good one, and waywaywaywaywaaaay better than the screwed up mess I got the first time.

I've had Indecision and Oronoko Stout and they're both decent. Oronoko Stout's a little better. I still feel like this is something most breweries wouldn't do. Or if they did, it wouldn't be as urgent as it seemed to be for Round Barn, as I got the package so quickly.

Thanks for the mention of the vodka by the way -- will have to try some of that when I'm there (could be as soon as this summer, since I'm going to Minnesota).

Not a huge fan of their bottled offerings but I had a few good beers on tap at their relatively new Public House taproom. They had a BA stout aged in their own Bourbon barrels called Catharsis that impressed me. Better than any BA Greenbush beer I've had.

Isn't it Paw Paw Winery than advertises 'Vodka from Grapes' on the billboards along I-94? I stopped at Round Barn to get some of their bourbon (it's outstanding but pricey!) and asked the question that is proposed by the billboard to "Ask us how we get vodka from grapes." The sales person didn't have a clue when I tried to explain the reason for the question. I should have gone next door to the Paw Paw store to ask over there, but I didn't. Sadly, now I'll never know the answer.

Round Barn sent a couple pamphlets. It is Round Barn that makes the vodka with grapes. They have a lot of stuff, actually.

Round Barn and St. Julian both make vodka from grapes. They both taste the same, with it being $9 cheaper per bottle at Round Barn. Thus my endorsement.

Puff Daddy's favorite vodka Ciroc is also made from grapes.
Same process as any other vodka, fermentation, small wine, distillation, low wine, refining, grappa/vodka.

Yeah round barn had a infected batch issue about 1 month ago, but they have fixed the issue but both indecision and bobs your uncle were the two packages that were infected. Lucky enough for me my distributor pulled all there product off my shelves and reimbursed me with the new batch (no complants thus so far)

Glad to hear the brewery do that. Never been a fan of their beer, it always seemed like an afterthought to the other things they do.
