Question about Westvleteren XII

I too was underwhelmed by PtY this year when I had it fresh, especially when compared to last year's batch. But then I had it again about two months later and found it to be pretty awesome again. Aren't anecdotals fun? Anyway, no claims here of different recipes or anything like that, but it was initially different from how I (and others) remembered it. Still, chances are good that you just didn't like the beer, batch differences aside, in which case, HOW DARE YOU

 

I heard the US was getting less than 5k bricks. I think it was around 4,700 (correct me if I'm wrong). Should be less 30k bottles total.

 

You'er wrong. 15K bricks. 7.5K to each of the two distributors.

 

Good thing I'm wrong then. Gives me a better chance of getting a brick then.

Hmm - I missed that story... very interesting indeed. I can only imagine Shelton will jump at the chance to get the whole shebang for themselves though...

 

Whoaaa, wait...westy's coming stateside? Hell yea. If El Cerrito Liquor in Corona gets any I'm gonna have a friend snag atleast a bottle for me. So stoked.
