I am literally doing that right now.
I've had my 13 in the fridge since I bought it last year. I was so upset at it last year, that I refused to write a review because I knew the 13 batch was garbage and didnt do it justice. I even wrote to Bells about it and they were very appreciative of my feedback.

On the 13 vs 14, (shut up i know its and IPA, i.e. "dont age ipas") I can still tell the bad points of 13, 14 is a return to its true form, the honey is there.
Since people have been asking it was $60 for my case.

You obviously haven't heard of a beer called Sucks.

my fridge is stocked with both. they are two of my favorite beers. hopslam is a better DIPA. both are great though.

I disagree and I think most would agree with me, no offense. Also I would argue that Sucks has an even better distribution range, I feel like you were valuing that highly before. Could be wrong.

Yep! Got the same info from the guys here in Newport News and Virginia Beach. Weather is just too cold right now. *Sigh*

At least I just received a shipment of Surly Abrasive.

Ah, you see, for me I think the honey is precisely the characteristic that puts me off - I seldom like honey in anything, whether flavored or real. The hidden ABV is impressive though. And we don't get Double Jack here in Michigan either, so I feel your pain. Regardless, I'm glad we could disagree so, er, agreeably.

well they are different beers, they are separated by a fair amount of abv. hopslam is a big beer that covers its alcohol very well. both are great beers but i think hopslam is a better crafted beer. not many 10% ipas out there that are that drinkable. sucks is surely a better value, probably the best value of any ipa i have ever had.

I cant resist it's the big IPA that turned me into a freak, I think better than last year, purely subjective, a little more fruity I think. Still it eats up a $20 bill, not $20 good, but for a once a year venture you have to do it, it's still a very nice DIPA.

Don't get me wrong Hopslam does cover ABV extremely well. I'm drinking one as we speak. I just feel as though it is less flavorful because of the ABV needing to be covered. I don't need high ABV in my beer. Again we can probably chalk this up to personal preferences, I think we both agree they are both upper echelon DIPA's.

Disappearing in Charlotte like a fart in the wind.

Cases of Sucks on the floor here and there--saw 20 cases today next to what I was told was the empty HS pile.

Not sure why so many feel compelled to compare Sucks and HS--so different. Both so good for different reasons. Ok the HS is $$$ but for a once a year brief treat--worth EVERY penny.

Just drank my first bottle of Hopslam in a couple years. In terms of flavor there are a few better, more intense DIPAs out there, but I really love how uniquely rich and luscious the mouthfeel is. Definitely a world-class beer.

People crying about a great high abv beer for ~$20 a sixer, many of which I guarantee have bought multiple bombers that cost the same or more without flinching before, gotta love it.

Before you pile on Bell's for Hopslam's price, there are dozens of far more deserving candidates to be complained about.

Divide a 6er of Hopslam into 3 and you get $5 a bomber for the brewery purchase/suggested retail price...with what people drop on beer today is that really so bad?

Btw, it's not Bell's fault that many retailers gouge, and they should be reported whenever possible.

Again, in a world of $20+ bombers being extemely common, hearing people lament the price of a quality beer in a six pack for $20 or less is hilarious.
