Drinking the Founders/Green Flash Collab Linchpin tonight, got me thinking.

Although this one is really solid, all too often, I'm disappointed by these collaborations.

What's the best Collaboration brew you've had? The Worst?

The best was super fresh Stone/Alchemist More Brown Than Black...super hoppy goodness with a subtle roastiness in the background.

    The worst...I'm not quite sure

more brown than black was awesome.

    collaboration not litigation is awesome.

most of the sierra nevada 30th anniversary beers were great. gnomegang is great. i'm sure there's more, but those are the first that come to mind.

I'm jealous. We won't be getting it in Chicago. Love both Founders and Green Flash...:slight_frown:

I really like both collaborations boulevard did: the imperial pilsner with orval and the white ipa with deschutes. I also just got to try boogoop--a wheatwine by mikeller and three floyds--which was awesome.

Best is the Cigar City/Swamp Head Church on a Hill. Top-shelf stuff.

Lots of mediocre stuff out there. Not sure why, but I've had enough blahhhh collaborations that I rarely seek them out or buy them anymore.

The majority of the Stone collaborations I have really enjoyed. Oddly the worst one was Stone/Jolly Pumpkin/Nogne O Special Holiday ale; Stone and JP are my favorite breweries so for them to produce one of the maybe five drain pours for me says something.

The best collabs for me are Nielsbohrium and More Brown than Black. Would have to say no Worse since I've enjoyed all the collabs so far.

Another vote for More Brown Than Black. Also, Mikkeller brews a lot of his beers at other breweries, so I have to give credit there as well.

The Schneider Weisse Schneider & Brooklyner Hopfen-Weisse was awesome! One of my favorite summer beers that rarely gets mentioned. Much more preferred than its US counterpart, Brooklyner-Schneider Hopfen-Weisse.

Worst ever was Saison du Buff - drainpoured.

I had Linchpin @ Green Flash on release day and thought it so bland I didn't even buy the 2 bottles they allowed that day. I didn't even want to push it on my trading partners as an extra.

he doesn't have a home brewery so all his beers are made at someone else's brewery(fantome brewer). He's done a couple with jester kind and they're both solid. I'm really digging the newest one Beer Geel Rodeo.

Nor, Daybreak, Fear & Trembling, and a bunch of other Hill Farmstead collaborations have been outstanding.

Good God...How could I have forgotten those. Fear and Trembling Cabernet/Bourbon blend was amazing when I had it on tap at the last harvest festival. Nor was also awesome, and surprisingly drinkable granted its over 9%

Most, IMO, are acceptable but not mind blowing. However, the new Double Mountain/Terminal Gravity collab IPA, Gravity Mountain, is pretty outstanding.
